Front 450 out help

So this weekend I was attempting some front 4 outs of a cannon tube but everytime I try them the exact same thing happens and I cannot land it to save my life. Basically I like wash out or something, I attached a video so you can see what I mean. Any advice?

Sorry its like grainy and really...really bad quality

almost looks like youre starting your spin out still on the rail and maybe thats pushing you backseat, the potato cam doesnt help see it well. for a simple flat rail i look out towards the landing, "kink" my front ski and pop. when i pop i also try and stay as upright as possible, i think winding up a lot might also cause you to go backseat a bit. maybe try a flat rail and not a tube, you might be able to lock in the front ski better

good luck, looks like youre pretty close already

hmm you were super close. i think you sorta panicked worrying about getting the spin around which made you backseat and your legs come apart

my suggestion would be to flex your core and keep your body, esp your feet, together

don't worry about getting it around, front 4s you can just set it and forget it and coming up a tiny bit short usually isnt a big deal

so flex your core and keep your body a tight piece, and lean forward a little as you set the spin. i think you were good re: your head, you didnt make the mistake of thinking of it like a 2 + 180 and look at your landing at 270* into it. just dont panic and try to change things up midway through, i think that's the only reason you came apart

You're not spinning straight and its causing you to land backseat. Try to adjust your posture when you spin off, and make sure you can land a 540 spinning perfectly straight. Good luck!

Mann all these complicated answers. I think you need to just throw a little harder. If you were around a tiny more I'm preeettty sure you would've landed it

Yo I'm pretty sure I saw you from the chair trying this. Instead of setting it like a front 2 where you can kinda chill throw it like it's off a jump, with a strong pop and a lot of spin. Also to not go backseat instead of looking down after you set it keep your head up.

Wait really? No way haha that's actually pretty sick.

You just need a solid pop. That will help you stay on center and not land back seat. Also in the air just act like it's a 360. Once you get them they are super smooth and effortless.

Get a good pop off the rail and try to spin more upright. It looks like you just take advantage of the rail and use the air time to try and spin. Pop and set harder, especially starting with your upper body as it seems it lags including your head.

Land a 270 and keep looking over your shoulder and revert around. This helps with getting comfortable with the motion. What helped me was doing this. I do the 2 and I just keep looking over my shoulder and gradually land with a greater rotation every time until I get to 450. It also helps to pedal hard and use your arms and hips to spin yourself very hard just like your spinning on a jump. If your landing backseat, try looking at the ground and around your shoulder at the same time. I'm no pro at them, but this is what helped me

What do your front 2s look like. It looks like you are just hucking it on this and going off axis.

You gotta make sure you're centered on the rail. I stuggled with this same problem for the longest time cause I was tryna force my grip which ultimately pushes you off the rail a little. Get your feet perfectly under you and centered on the rail then pop for the 4.

one of the most productive threads I've ever seen on NS.

Yeah it's actually awesome, gonna try some more front 4s this weekend and I'm feeling more confident than I did before I made the thread lol.

wait a little longer its easy to get excited and spin a little early a good pop of the end will help too you got it .

I think your problem is that you are trying to not catch your nose on the rail at 270 so you pushing your skis/body and that's causing you to land backseat. Try to have a solid pop, spin with your hips/upper body first then the skis and it should come around better.

I feel ya hard on this. I used to do the exact same thing and even made a thread on it too.

The biggest thing that helped me is to not look at the ground after setting it. Huck it and forget about landing for a bit. DONT LOOK FOR THE LANDING LIKE YOU WOULD FOR A FRONT 2. Just wind up set it and keep your head looking over your shoulder until youve spun a complete 3 and only have 90 degrees left.

Try and keep your vision up as much as possible, dont look down at the ground at 270. Based off the video, that kinda looks like what you did. Upon analyzing the video, you were looking pretty nose heavy at the 270 mark, so you ended up landing backseat. But im sure youll get it within a few attempts.

This. I had the same exact problem on front fours and it was because I was looking at the ground at 270 and it forced my body off-axis

right. a front 4 is not a 2 plus a 1, the same way a 7 is not a 5 plus a 1. set it and forget it!

Had to bump this legendary advice thread cause I fucking finally landed a 450 out. It felt so good haha. Thanks guys!

dude, lit. i have had the same problem, i ended up just trying to lean more forwards. still land a little backseat, but it looks like i'm afterbangin
