Front 450 help????

Lately I have been trying front 4s on my backyard setup but I come across a reoccurring problem. For the most part I get the 4 spin around but as I pass 270 my body slowly drifts off axis (btw I slide left foot forward). By the time I get around my back is on the ground. I try to keep my head as level as possible but it doesn't help. This seems like this happens a lot with this trick and people landing backseat. Any tips on how to avoid this problem would be very helpful, thanks!

Try being more patient and getting a solid pop off the end of the rail. Could also try setting the spin harder so you get around to 450 and still have time to land. Try it out and let me know if you need help

I think patience could've been the problem, I will try that out

Have a friend that sometimes does this too. Filming is the best way to progress. Get a video of you doing some and watch it in slow mo and see what's happening. It's possible when you are setting the spin you dip your shoulder a little bit. Try even throwing front 270s and feel out the difference. Is it the pop, during the spin or something else.

Spin/grind the same way as you. Blind 4's have always been waaay easier because of this same reason. The only few times I've landed a front 4 that wasnt completely backseat was because it felt i had a lot of upwards momentum (pop) coming off of the rail.

Dont think ill be off much help other than to say,

Pop upwards

and

spin with your hips, as opposed to shoulders

This especially. You lead with your shoulder but get torque from your hips. Use them

I always ski with one of these to stay on axis
