Front 2 = Laced

Today was my second day hiking park and working on some rail tricks. I've been working on front and back 2s and I can spin them out but now I'm really working on scissoring the rail (nice) so I can just slide em around as opposed to popping really hard and twisting. My girlfriend was working ski patrol today and had to come by the park briefly to do a scan or some shit while I was hiking. The only time she was really watching, I laced the cleanest/lowest effort front 2 of my life. First time I felt like I've really laced a rail trick other than just sliding the rail and to do it in front of her was fucking hype.

Today is a sick day. Fuck yeah for all the first day out/first trick/general season stoke posts out there, glad y'all are getting out there and having a good time too!

Ayyyyye love to hear it man

Wish I was out there hiking a park and lacing 2's in front of my girlfriend

Also wish I had a girlfriend

Plot twist: your girl was looking at the guy next to you spinning 4s.

jkjk Good for you man! such a good feeling to master a trick

I guess i don't know the feels. Im more of a hey mom look at me! And proceed to botch a trick i could have done in my sleep, ragdoll violently and lay there debating whether should i close my eyes and pretend to be dead.

Dude I can totally relate.. When I was in college I was skiing early season on some BRAND NEW trouble makers I had just grabbed (the black/green ones with the bright green bases that had the black grind strips). As I approached the gondola I saw some young racers trying to grind one of those small aluminum benches (the kind where snowboarders strap in) that they’d buried. It had this tiny, pathetic triangular ‘jump’ onto it and was about 4 inches off the ground. I thought to myself ‘I’ll show those dorks and just go spin 2 on’ ... so I just cruise up and as I set my pop, the lip they’d built just evaporated underneath me. I had already set the spin but suddenly the snow I was expecting to push off of just dropped out from under me. So instead of popping up onto the bench, my right ski slid underneath the bench so I was doing some goofy one foot slifr on the snow with my topsheet grinding the underside of the bench. when I got to the end of the bench, my leading edge hit the buried leg and i tipped over with my ski stuck between the snow and the bench. My bindings didn’t release for some reason and as I fell over the front of my ski stayed pinned underneath the bench resulting in it getting twisted and completely delaminated. So I really showed those 12 year old racers what’s up.
