I just talked to a kid that set me off. He was all, man bro dude, my mom just caught me smoking weeeeeed. So i was all great dude, youre a moron. Anyways. Freshman year, it was me and a handful of kids that were partying and just being reckless as normal teenagers do. Now, like senior year, even all the gayest kids that no one ever liked, or likes now are trying to party and get wasted. Its really whack. Kids are like OH NO, MARIJUANA IS BADDDD when theyre young, but then as senior year hits, theyre all for blazin it up. If youre a homo, just stay the way you are, cuz if you try and drink, youre still a homo.

I did that shit to prove myself in high school, which was stupid because I did a lot of shit in high school to prove myself. Some people feel the need to be accepted and it's not the best way to do it. If you don't like it, don't do it. I made that mistake and I looked like a drunk idiot...throwing up all over myself and blacking out everywhere. Haven't had a drink in 2 years (with the exception of last weekend up the Gondola...) You are so smart babe, that's one of the many reasons I look up to you. You've got it all figured out :)

amazing things can happen when you get drunk, its not something i rely on but i can definately say that i've achieved some life altering moments of enlightenment, hooked up with some very fun girls, made friends and generally just really enjoyed myself. drinking is really only a bad thing if you let it get out of control, its also something entirely normal for our society...its a social lubricant, a sexual lubricant and a life lubricant.

Specially with the kids that are starting, first-timers that won't even know their way home. But i understand why they do it. I only started in 10th grade, since 8th grade I always knew I'd smoke and drink but I never really had a big urge to. People who don't do it are only cheating themselves out of all the fun you can have, and people who do it all the time are missing the point. It's about the people you do it with and the events that happen. If 'nerdy' kids want to do it, who cares, as long as they don't dive headfirst into it and then think they are really cool. Here is an actual quote from this kid at my school who is prob one of the people you are referring to.

'Well, we were on a cruise, and my mom was gone, so I dipped into the wine coolers! Whooo!'
