From 2008 there will be no more Winter X-games

why is everyone accepting this?? there is no confirmation whatsoever, and they would be hardpressed to terminate the deal with aspen, thats alot of money lost

This seems like a lie. And You Cannot Win a Gold Medal In the Olympics while testing positive for marijuana.
 
so l;et me get this straight, they still have biatholons in the winter olympics, but not a huge portion of skiing. Oh my fucking god. suck me scott armetagde or whatever your name is.
 
i highly doubt this is true, and even if it is, I thnk another event will take its place. I think the JOI is better than x-games anyway, so i really hope that gets picked up by a network.
 
You know, from this thread you can tell two things:

1) Nobody reads the rest of the threads. They simply click on the header, hit reply and then post their feelings.

2) There are way too many people who are gullible in this world. There is NOTHING that even seems remotely true about this, yet more than half of the people posting in this thread bought it.

I'm pretty sure that is not true.

And even if it was, it said that ESPN is not broadcasting it anymore-I guarantee you another network will pick it up; theres no way that skiing will be totally gone from the X-Games
 
Its pretty damn funny that people actually bought this because theres no way in hell that skiing would not be included in the X-Games or the X-Games would be gotten rid of completely
 
Ross Rebagliati won gold in 1998, had his medal stripped after testing positive for pot, but his medal was given back after the IOC decided it wasn't a banned substance.
 
actually who cares if espn isn't covering it on tv, ABC does 90% of the televising of the x games, the x games are still going to take place they just won't be on ESPN
 
so no if there is no x games after 2010 im sure there will be a way better comp to take its place that may or may not get telivised but who cares.. at least there are 4 more years worth to come
 
I think its a good thing. the x-games are cool but the judges SUCK! something will fall into place of the x-games hopefully it will be more innovative and have good judges who know their shit.
 
ya man, im actually stoked on this. espn fucks everything over because all they want is to make money. i.e. BCS system for choosing college football bowl games... only stays in place because of ESPN. and now they are canceling the x-games.
 
trust me, they wont. as much as we want them to, do you really think that espn or anyone is going to fully televise the us open or masters? its off their radar man.

I did the same and researched for a good hour (since X-games is my fav t.v. event) and found nothing to back this up.

This is the FOURTH time I have posted saying that this is most likely not true. Seriously, there have been no backing statements, there is nothing on ESPN's website about it, just one guy posting a rumour.

PLEASE don't just believe everything you read/hear. Think for yourself and question.

I mean if you don't question something you read on an internet forum, then what does that say for what you see on TV?

Question everything you hear. This is why the public has no idea what is going on in our world... people just believe everything they hear in the media.
