Frisco - Copper Shuttle

My plans got messed up and long story short, I don't have a parking reservation to ski copper this Saturday. Is there anything preventing me and a couple friends from riding the shuttle from frisco and skiing without parking? Does anyone have any insight into whether that's been crazy busy or not?

Additionally, might be skiing with a couple more who will be buying day passes. Will they be fine to shuttle and buy passes at the window?

P.S. I have copper parking for next Saturday, the 19th and would love to trade if anyone's got one for this Saturday, the 12th.

I'm also curious about this. I am an idiot and wasn't on top of the whole reservation thing when it went live and now I have zero reservations and every weekend is booked. Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of 7 day rolling reservation thing rather than booking months in advance?

Honestly copper needs to get rid of the reservation shit. The resort is big enough to the point where crowds won't be bad as long as lift tickets need to be purchased in advance. Winter Park has no reservations and I went on a Sunday and it was fine. Copper also has more terrain open than any of the other resorts. I'm kinda talking out of my ass right now because I haven't been there this year yet, but it's kind of ridiculous that I probably won't be able to ski it for a few months because all the reservations got scooped up immediately.

from what i understand parking at frisco FTC is the loophole to coppers parking reservations. Summit stage is only running half capacity tho so if u don’t get on a bus u gotta wait for the next one and they aren’t sending extra busses. your best bet is to park up in FTC asap in the morning and get on a bus so u can get out to the resort

keep checking the copper website regularly and the morning of to see if something opens up. they are implementing reservation penalties to encourage people cancelling their reservations in a timely manner if they aren’t gonna make it that day

Sounds good, appreciate it!

Shouldn't have any issues, buddy. Though, paying full price for a day ticket at the window is for chumps.

I'm not the one buying the day tickets haha. but thank you kindly for the bountiful insight. I bet you're in the exclusive list of people with a season pass huh? are you sponsored by ikon?

I think the problemo with copper is that everyone gets packed on a bus together to get to the resort, maybe it should be a “bus reservation” and you can park and walk.

I kinda forgot about that, but I feel like there's better solutions than what they're doing.

Yeah I don't understand why Winter Park can get away with not having reservations but Copper's is such a mess. I went to Winter Park this past sunday and it was totally fine. Is it a county by county thing? I just don't get why a mountain would choose to implement something like parking reservations if not explicitly required to by the govt

They just put some more reservations out! if anyone needs one grab it quick!

Shiiit just missed these. Guess I'll be on the bus Saturday morning haha. Anyone have an idea of how hard it is to get a spot on the bus on a Saturday with busses running 50% capacity?
