Frischi Freerides

Im about to put a pair of these on my pistols i think, does anyone know a good place in canada to get them? And how do they work for inbounds riding, ive heard nothing but good things

Ya dawg got the same set up on my 189's. DONT get the NAXO Bindings, they are complete sh*t. I have talked to 15 people who ride then and 10+ said they already broken them and got them replaced. While the other few are still on them. These people are'nt heavweight like 130 and the toe piece brakes. Pathetic. Anyway freerides are sweet, have no problem skiing resorts, but stay away from bumps, ice, groomers, becuase it tends to weaken them. But for backcountry it the only binding you need.

'stay away from bumps, ice, groomers...'

so, your suppose to stay away from inbounds stuff? sweet. cant ride the binding but anywhere other than the backcountry? sounds like a shitty binding to me.

he asked how they are for inbounds stuff and bumps, ice, and groomers are exactly what inbounds is.

theyre touring bindings. all plastic construction. they do have a DIN of 12, but you dont want to hammer them through bumps, theyll weaken. also, you wont have the same control on hardpack/ice and groomers.

if these are going to be on youre only set of skis, DONT get them unless youre 98% in the BC all the time.

thyre touring bindings, not hardcore alpine bindings.

Ya but fack, you dont buy these binders for the ski resort and then you do a short skin outta bounds, if your're doing that get some sh*tty trekkers. Freerides are meant for backcountry and to get around the ski area. Seems to me you need some trekkers instead of freerides

I have a set, Ride them on my new pistols, and they rip. The binding is not anchord in the heal, so it lets the ski flex underneigth it for a nice, smooth, round flex. I ride here in VT bout 99% of the time, and basicly just use them for early morning hikes, and a little back country. So far i have pounded the shit out of them in the park and bumps, and no issues yet. Kinda a funny setup for here in vt (pistols w/ bc binders) but they work saprisingly well. I just like earning a few runs every week, and it keeps my ass in shape. Next years look pimp too. Red and White.

k, thanks for the help, im still unsure though, this will be my only ski, and i like doing straightlines and cliffs, i dont do the park to much but when its shittying in the steeps ill hit the park. Next year i will spend lots of time in the back hiking, thats what im setting up for. Ive heard you can use these bindings anywhere, and has anyone else had any experiences like the last guy?

Gotta agree with vtrider on that one, freerides are super study and would give them a second thought busting through powder or any conditions, very solid binding. Vtrider what are these new colors about? New freerides?
