I have a friend who started an non emotional sexual relationship with one of his female friends. Wondering what other people think of getting laid without a realationship, sounds good to me.

well it will be fine for a while but what happens when one of them wants to go out with someone else. the other will be jealous and probably a little hurt, because if they are close enough to be sexual with each other, there has to be some kind of romantic feelings between them. i think it is a bad idea, friends with benifits doesnt workout a lot of the time.

no trust me, its all bullshit it never works out in the end.

i had a friend who i have known for more than 12 years, and senior year we started hanging out more and and more and everntually hooking up on a weekly basis. it eneded up with her telling me that her dad said he would love to take an ax to my head. no joke. its a shame too cause we were such good friends. i dont really talk to her anymore, so it definetly sucked. id change it all back in a second if i could
 
Okay. Heres the truth from a girls point of view. Its so fun.... until one of you gets attached (meaning the girl. And 99% do) And then they get all needy and you pretty much break their hearts. And they get all jelous about other girls.
 
bad idea. i mean, i suppose its a GOOD idea, but they dont work out very well. my last relationship started off like this, and its definatly not worked out quite as planned. fun for a while, but people grow on you, and the first time somethin happens between the other and someone else shit hits the fan. if its a monogomous, but just-sex relationship, thats fine, and actually alot of fun, and it keeps things fairly uncomplicated. so my vote, if its just people hookin up on a reg basis, but not without hittin up other people, things can get bad. but if its just two people hangin out and fuckin, its usually all good.
 
never works. i know people who have tried, and i've heard of other tries, and it just never works. one of them will end up liking the other, but the other won't like them back, and it will just kill the friendship. i'd never risk it.
 
If you can make it work, then it's fine, as long as both members of the FWB relationship know that that is exactly what it is-as soon as someone wants to change it, or "take it to the next level" then problems can come up. Establish it as just friends, then there's nothing wrong with it.

it would work, but the only way would be if they were a summer friend with priveledges because then during the school year you could do whatever and then summer you could chill with her
 
i have had the same friends with benefits for two years. let me tell you something about it.

him and i, we have good sex. but really, there is no passion, no anticipation, cuz fuck...i know im gonna get laid.

he's one of my closest friends. we have sex. then we lie in bed and talk about who we like...talk about some personal issues...we snuggled naked. he's great.

but i recently cut him off from sexual activity because im just not feeling it anymore. honestly. there is no excitement there. i'd rather be single and on the look out for my next great relationship than have a friends with benefits anymore.

there were no complications with him and i, everything has been great all along. but regardless, it's not that same. He's the only person i've had sex with that I haven't really really cared about and I can honestly say it's just not the same at all. It's interesting at first cuz it's kinda wrong. but after a while it gets old and boring.
