Friends from school think that Snowboarding looks cooler than Skiing....

Okay so my friend who snowboards tried telling me that snowboarding looks way cooler than skiing in the park. I obviously argued my case with him for a solid 10 15 minutes, and during the argument he says that snowboarders get more bitches than skiers. I said hold up bitch, thats not true. so he said "lets go ask those girls at that table." We walk over and ask them, and every single one said snowboarding looked cooler... We went to like 4 more tables of girls and only 1 said skiing... One girl even said skiing was for pussies! What can i say to make my friend just shut the fuck up? haha
 
To me this just looked like"I am 12 nd snowboarding dsnt look cool#! butt my frend says it dus, wht orange and blue ski wear shuld i buy 2 shut him up??"
 
I know exactly what you mean. So many of my friends used to snowboard, but once I skied with them and showed them how awesome freestyle is and everything else about skiing, they all started skiing. Too many people think that snowboarding is the only form of "cool" snow sports. It's kind of weird how newschoolers know everything there is about skiing, but the rest of the world that isn't on newschoolers suprisingly really never hears anything about our sport.
 
Snowboarding is much cooler and steezier on rails than skiing is.

OMG lyke no wayz. Kid, who cares what he says. I mean yea, snowboarding is super rad. As is skiing. Stop caring what they think and live off what you think. You care too much.
 
Just show them up on the hill. Skiing tricks look a lot more intricate and add multiple dimensions of style as we have two skis.
 
So I have this argument almost every winter because I live in Texas and although I do i still manage to ski 20+ days a year which i know isnt much, but i will take what i can get. The best way to prove this is tell him to find you a snowboarded with as much style as say jossi, or gus kenworthy. Even Adam Delorme, if you look at what he does its insane! They probably all see skiing as a "pussy" sport because they have no idea what park skiing is all about. Just tell me how easy it is to nut yourself on a snowboard? Because you have to fall face first or really fuck up to do that. On skis, one ski slips off and the other goes the otherway and boom good bye to those suckers. If you say you havent nut yourself, either you are lying, or you are just not as i dont know dumb as some would call us. So that is just one part you could argue, and if they say well thats why snowboarding is better than say well you are the pussies than because you are scared to try a rail and nut yourself. Also, it is so easy to ride rails and boxes on a snowboard. Tell any of those girls to go big mountain skiing or even hit a 15 foot jump. They wouldnt have a chance, but unless they ski like kaya turski than okay exception because she is damn good. The only thing we can thank snowboarding for is really opening up the freestyle era, but other than that us skiers have taken it to new extremes. Hope this helps, and from girls i ski with that also ski we had a chairlift talk about most attractive male and female skiers, which i know sounds weird but the girls all agreed on Gus Kenworthy, but i guarantee i wasnt part of that. In all honesty, dont know how that talk started, but just tell him and all his friends that snowboarding is gay, they will never have the style of park skiers, and the tricks they huck don't look anywhere as sick as skiing.

The only way to prove your dominance is to take him to a gnarly no-fall zone or the sketchiest 80 foot step down you can find and put him in the hospital.

But if he comes up short on the 80 foot step down and goes to the hospital, and you puss out and don't hit it, he still wins. So a lot is riding on this. Don't fuck it up.
 
people generally just think of snowboarding as cooler as they think of it as skateboarding on snow and when they think of skiing they think of guys in gs suits, but skiing is slowly starting to outnumber boarders in the park because people are realising that skiing is better
 
while skiing is OG, for a long time converting to snowboarding was the cool thing to do. Nowadays skiing and snowboarding are much more similar (although still completely different) but when some ignorant people hear the word "skiing" they think of what skiing was in the 80's. Who cares what all of those fags think, anyone with a brain knows skiing is and looks way better.

Skiing or snowboarding?

Baggy or skinny?

Blonde or brunette?

It's subjective shut up.
 
Oh man, you can't blame them, that's their opinion. Maybe they would only think that skiing is more on a gay thing it's because, almost all ski resorts, people used to ski as always, maybe they want to see something different from usual.
