so yah last sunday, it was the last day of the week... everyone was like hell yah its friday nor work after today for 2 days... then at around 9:00 AM something happened that would change one of my friends lives forver he hit about a 60 spine and cought his back edge and slammed into the ground about 3/4 of the way to the bottom of the landing... when i heard about it over the radio(i work up at the hill and so did my buddy) i thought to myslef Holy shit this is not good news... the head of ski patrol told me to grab the big red pack and bring it straight down(i even remember going up the T switch)... so when i arrived at the top of the Tbar i grabbed it and wend down... all i remeber hearing over the radio was that he fell on his back and that he was bleeding from his mouth. I didnt know that he couldnt fel his legs, and one thing that gets your emotions is seeing one of your friends lieing on the ground saying he didnt want to come to work today hearing them say "I never wanted to come to work today, i should have stayed in bed this morning like i wanted to" is something that just sticks in your memory... life is so preciouse that one little mistake can take someones legs away from use... I'm not absoloutly posative that he is completely paralized from the waist down, but when someone says they cant feel their legs from the waist down its not good, especially when thier pelvis is in an intense amount of pain... its so harsh when someone as young as 19 can lose thier legs on a board(i know he's a boarder, but thats not the point) has anyone ever known someone that has lost the use of thier legs.. and how did affect thier life.. and thier friends and crap.. cause like i dunno this is just something i cant really just turn my head away from... so yah peoples thoughts... comments
