Friend accidentally moto's off a 30ft cliff on video.

So yeah not skiing related but pretty entertaining and crazy. My friend went dirtbiking in Moab. He got turned around when he was going back over this hill... He was supposed to jump off of it a couple hundred feet to the right (where his friend goes down after his accident) where it was only a 10ft drop. Instead he goes off here...

Insanely he walked away with just a couple bruises. Bike needed new handlebars, levers, and plastics, but he was able to ride it out...

Talk about being lucky.

Tough to really tell in the video, but I am almost certain that the cliff was not even close to a 30 footer. I'd give it 15, maybe a little more.
 
Haha yeah it kind of looks not as big because he landed so far away from it. He was nukkin. I'll try to find a pic where he's standing at the bottom of the cliff. Either way, insane fall.

15ft though? C'mon haha

Gnarly, i thought it was hard soil what he landed on but then I realized it was sand otherwise he wouldn't have been that lucky. Btw that's easily 25ft
 
using basic laws of physics, plus the vide it would of been close to 20 feet, but thats the best estimate from the vid and using the time fall so who knows
 
Good God. I should have known NS would turn this into a "how big that cliff really is" thread. Seriously this site has the toughest crowd.
 
I don't know but luckily he did and walked away with no injuries so now you can ask him.

But really... It's a natural reaction. Human.

Guys...I did some quick math and, based on my calculations, including estimated Youtube velocity, angle of takeoff, and the drag coefficient of his fullface camera with attached GoPro camera, the height of the cliff was clearly Pi to the 3rd power. On a related note, fuck everyone who is trying to hate on the video based on the size of the cliff, because we all know you'd be shitting your pants if the same thing happened to you.
