Who is going, and does anyone have an idea about what might the comp be this year?

There are so many rumours, hell we don't even know there will be a freshtival at all. I'm hoping to go, I wish they'd show Ski Porn and Long Story Short on the same night as those are the 2 I'm most looking forward to.
 
what would u guys want to see this yearski/comp wise at freshtival?

i was talking to steve and sara today and they said they would like to hear ideas of what we want to see there

rails.. tell them to have a rail jam like a flat and a down flat or something set up well
 
they should have the railjam like it was a few years ago at sait...a couple rails in a line, not a massive wallride in the middle of downtown
 
I say have it at the rusty cage or the back alley. both have ample space out front for a set up and are fun fucken bars. I also dont think they will have a problem with skate shoes. The roadhouse wasnt letting anyone in because they were wearing skate shoes.

or if they had the whole freshtival in that big ass tent a COP with a beer gardens while the movies are playing. they already have a huge hill and maybe fresh could use some rails.

Its like the party at coyotes for Almost skateboards we got free booze for the night but the waitress's wouldnt serve us casue we had the wristbands on cuase htey knew we wouldnt leave tips
 
you could maybe pass as 13? How old are you anyway. Just eat a lot of gravel and small children before and get paul to teach you how to grow a mustache then wear a trenchcoat and get a fake ID.
 
Freshtival set up...

I preferred the rail jam to the wall ride they had last year. I like the idea of the wall, however the run in was far too small, riders had trouble getting enough speed, tricks weren't as visually impressive. I find one can do alot more with a couple rails then on a wall, unless it's on a mountain, with quarters on either side, catch some air before you hit the copeing... but the logistics of that in a parking lot, isn't realistic.

So i'd vote bring back the rail jam, but put in some more challenging features; a double kink would be nice... have a better run in, maybe incorporate some sort of jump, or even some urban features around town? Basically have a more thought out set up that gives riders more options, and more ease in performing their tricks.

Also, i don't know about the rest of you, but i had a blast at the roadhouse last year. Yes, they had a thing about skateshoes and people who just turned 18... but we just talked to steve, then went in through the back, no cover.... Sooo for definitely have an afterparty again this year.
 
i guess freshtival is always good tohugh. it was harder to see the wallride cause there was like a small place to watch instead of a big open area around all the sides. instead it was against the wall and there was the inrun blocking on side and the wall blocking the other. if they did it again then the crowds would be even bigger
 
first day is thursday october 12th and features Cordoroy by Rage Films and Anamoly by Teton Gravity. Next is Friday October 13th (Friday the 13's, yay!) with Photo Play by Theory 3 and PBP and Push by Matchstick Productions. The matine special for this day is Long Story Short by Level 1 and Skimatic by Plehouse Films. Saturday October 14th is the final day which plays Show and Prove by the Bigger Picture and Ski Porn by Poor Boyz Productions. The final showings will be followed by a rail jam of sorts presented by Red Bull (or so ive heard) but Fresh hasnt released any furthur details and are currently looking for a location.
 
ya, im officially working at fresh now, so i should have details soon, i will talk to steve about it, if anyone has any ideas they think would be really cool let me know!
 
i was at fresh yesterday and they still hadn't decided what was going to happen for an event on saturday but they said there will most likely be some sort of rail jam or something.
 
The First FRESHtival was the best. Remember. They played the World premier of Session 1242, we were the first to ever see it.
