Tia mi shu-(chinese rap)

You don't know shit about fuck, my man-Robin Williams

See all y'all at Session 3 of High North

I dunno, Pat gave me this guy Ike Reilly's album, 'Salesmen and racists' and I've been listening to that a lot lately, it's really catchy, my head wouldn't stop moving and my foot was having a seizure from tapping too much. I still have it because I liked it a lot and I didn't feel like giving it back, but now I'll have to, because he'll read this. Fuck.

But anyway, Ike Reilly, he's really good.

Face First - more good Ska only different style than the bandits (to heat music go to www.mp3.com/facefirst)

Distorted Penguines more good ska! a lot like Reel Big fish, slightly more punkish

(for music go to www.mp3.com/distortedpenguines)

Asian Dub Foundation - electric like you never heard it! if you remotly like any king of techno or reggea this, you should hear!

Spearhead some of his songs are acid jazz and some are an improvement on rap. (you might argue that acid jazz is an improvement on rap)

(see www.speadheadvibrations.net for songs)

Sneaker pimps I don't really know what kind of music this is, funky techno I guess

massive attack same description as above only I like them a little better because they don't have a high pich woman singing

i've been listening to a whole variety of stuff:

the new boy sets fire CD(i know they're kind of big but i love em)

anatomy of a ghost (think 'coheed and cambria' and 'thrice' mixed together)

laymen terms (awesome local emoish boys)

fear before the march of flames (another local band but they're freaking amazing. look for em on kazaa)

rise against (chicago band with a new album out. good punk)

matchbook romance (formally 'the getaway' but they've chosen a designated screamer so it's not really poppy anymore. i can't really classify their sound)

the beautiful mistake (they remind me a bit of 'jets to brazil' but there's really not another band that their sound resembles.)

yah, that's all i can think of right now.

check em out.

Well anyways, I've been listening to this Ozma CD i made, its pretty good, weezerish, anyways hmm i made an MP3 mix cd thats got a 125 songs on it so i've been listening to that, but eh new stuff let me think, oh yeah! you should check out Badly Drawn Boy he is really good. And the I Am Sam Soundtrack is soo good. I made this other mix CD thats got a ton of really cool songs on it. Its not the most energetic thing ever, but its got that song Salsibury Hill and some other pretty deep songs, but its got others that keep it low key but happy, its cool.

Spearhead is amazing, I saw them play with Trey and band.

Atmosphere (Slug) is amazing (rap).

AWOL ONE is good (rap).

Granola Funk Express...rap/funk/jazz

K-OS 'Superstar Part Zero'-an excellent rap song.

I REALLY like the band Pepper (check 'Stone Love'). If you like Sublime check these guys out!

Particle is awesome (a killer trippy trance/techno/jam group).

Pavement is good, sorta melancholy emo I guess?

RAQ is the most incredible jam band i've heard in a while.

Strangefolk is a great jamband as well, although they've been around a while (if you like Phish check these guys and RAQ out).

The Samples. Incredible band all around. Dave Mathews used to open for THEM! Really good 'alternative'. They've been around forever and have a pretty decent following.

RJD2...cool intrumental stuff mainly

The band, The Album Leaf does awesome intrumental stuff (some of its pretty trippy)

Soulive is an awesome jamband although theyve been around for a bit.

Yo La Tengo is an awesome 'alternative' group, I dont really know how to classify them so they are put into the vague 'alternative' category.
