I disagree. I have noticed the sudden rise in popularity of dubstep over the past year. So many people are getting into it, but are listening to shitty dubstep. ScrawnDiFloor knows what's up.

Honestly, why do you hate on everything?
I love the music you listen to, I honestly do, but there's so much more to music than that.
The joy of music lies in its sonic variety, its ability to take on so many shapes, so many forms that are practically indistinguishable from others, that you never get bored of it. Music is a great thing, but the chains of "scenes" and genres are not only holding it back, its destroying it. People so desperatley feel the need to belong that they ally themselves with groups of mock appreciation. They tenaciously defend their designated property with all the intelligence of a brick wall, which they have essentially become, mindlessly discriminating against whatever does not fall within their coveted circles. You are entitled to your opinion, but just know that the hipsters you have pledged yourself to are destroying music just the same as the artists you blame.
Sorry about the rant, I'm just tired of kids blaming all these Top 40 artists for killing music, while they sit in their fortress of pretentiousness, refusing to feed the starving music industry.
