a quick ammendment: i ment to end the sentance about the aid money to the plo by saying that when the money ends up funding bombs that target civilians, that that makes it hard to want to continue sending said money. which may affect the veiws of the palestinians and the arab peoples who see american money going predominatly to isreal, not so much palestine anymore.

That question was for anewmorning, who apparently lives in the US. And though they never occupied Scottish territory, the ROmans probably could have had it whenever they wanted. Hadrian's wall was just there to keep barbarians out, he wasn't actually afraid of an attack. A later Emperor even built another one further up, and nobody noticed... when you have a tribal culture there isn't a lot of unified opposition. Rome just didn't think the north was worth their time.

I live just north of the Antonine Wall, which was the one you refered to; the second one higher up. There were various battles that the Romans faught and lost around my area. I found an ancient Roman belt buckle in my garden when I was 7 and a local museam displays it now.

It's all about SHINTY. It's the most insane game in the world, a little bit like field hockey, but the balls off the ground far more and full contact is allowed. No pads allowed and only around 10% of players wear helmets. It's mostly played up in the highlands. This game is INSANE...
