which one should I subscribe to? which has better pics, articles, most posters etc?

Freeskier. Better pictures, better articles, and a lot of hot girls in their current issue. Plus, if you care about this sort of thing, they're an indy mag, so supporting them supports skiing better than AOL-owned Freeze.

get both, than subscribe to SBC Skier (actually, get Skier before Freeze and Freeskier)... i think it's the best mag out there.

if you really like to read about what fashons are cool and what is hip and in go with freeskier, but if you actually like looking at pictures and articles on skiing go with freeze(plus its super funny)

 
yeah, thats right. i mean, this issue of freeskier does have lots of hot chicks, but besides that and that awsome sequence of Pep, the whole magazine has like nothing to do with skiing. freeze is def better. as of SBC never really saw it

i still havnt gotten any one issues except the 2nd one since the beginning of SBCs existence. i got my subscription from sms. it seemed pretty sick so im piissed off

is SBC like all kinds of skiing or just newschool? Big mountain is cool but its hard to relate to a JT Holmes article in FREEZE when i can only ski out west like once a year..dont get me wrong big mountain is cool but i was jw bc the alternative would be cool

Freeze has the shittiest writing ever. Ridiculous typos in a 'professional' magazine. I'd expect more. Just get all of them tho. It's not like a subscription to them is that much when you think about it.

SBC Skier is the best magazine ever. It's got the best look on skiing and how a magazine should be made (as they should because it is made by the same people that bring you Snowboard Canada - possibly the best magazine EVER),

it covers park and big mountain in Canada and a bit of the states (competitions and shit). good articles (actual content too), good pictures, good layout, and um... good for chopping your weed on.

Buy Skiblading magazine (hah, do they even have a magazine?)

SBC Skiier is cool, I *borrowed* an issue from the physical therapy place when I was in whistler.

But if you can't subscribe there, get freeskier it's run by more compitent people.

 
SBC skier. for sure. is was beyond impressed by their latest issue. Out of all of the skiing ones, SKIER is the best. From what I could see no typos. Know what magazine is just crap? SKI. my god, i was so annoyed reading that.

 
SBC SKIER for sure, then it is a toss up for the next few. you would probably be happy with any ski mag. within reason

i am personally a fan of freeze. its funnier and just has a jackass vibe. for me, freeskier seems to clean cut. im a dirt ass and my mags are too.

I think SBC has the most local content, but the best mag in terms of picture and article quality is Freeskier in my opinion.

I agree Harvey. Both of the magazines have their good and bad qualities, but overall i would choose Freeskier.

I agree harvey they both have good and bad qualities but Freeze is better, it setup better and doesnt have as many adds as Freeskier but they are still both good magazines just Freeze is better.

TRANSWORLD SNOWBOARDING - it is PACKED with content, its twice as big as any of our skiing mags, it has better photos and better advertisements, better articles, better layout, ..freeskier is the only magazine that comes close.

In my opinion its Freeskier because its clean, well done, and professional. freeze is made on cheap paper and yeah its funny, i subscribe to it, but the pictures suck and its not that great on content.

I dont mind SKI..it caters to the older skiing crowd...its in its own little world. i continually get free subscriptions to it so i read it, its pretty educational on all sorts of stuff, so whatever

for sure SBC skier, but freeze is damn good as well, and both powder and freeskier put out some half decent issues

plus it has a better balance between park, big mountain and skierx

ughhh! everytime I buy a Freeskier magazine, I end up kicking myself after reading the first few articles. There maybe more articles than Freeze has, but they are so gay! The whole magazine has an 'I'm better than you' feel to it. Besides the pictures of Sarah and Kristi on the cover, the rest of the magazine is worthless. And even the Female skier part isn't as good as it woulda been in Freeze or something. Freeze doenst take itself too seriously, and tries to be funny while reporting on events and stuff that ACTUALLY matters, not like in Freeskier wherethe newest fashion is the hi-light of the mag.

Having said that. Skier is the best magazine, in a catagory all alone. Freeze takes the silver, and Freeskier and Powder can battle it out for bronze.

i don't know if it's been brought up or even if many people know about it, but the other day i picked up Axis Magazine and it was by far the best skiing mag i've read

Pro Am It's all about the East.
 
if you're in the states, get freeskier, but in canada, SBC Skier for sure.

I think Freeze has the most progressive feel to it and usually has the best photos. Freeze also tends to have more fun with there mag. Freeskier is decent too, but their last cover shot was the best cover i think ive seen on any mag. Skier has good articles, but seems to choose worse photos. Axis is too short.

Have you realized that there is like 5 mags for an industry that is still relatively small. Snowboarding, as far as I know, has only 3. Basically, eventually, one or more of these mags is probably gonna go.
