Get a life. Do you honestly think that a petition is going to change the minds of Time Warner? They own the gig, not Transworld. Newsflash - circulation numbers and subscription counts are a pretty stron indicator of support.

Many of the comments I've seen are obviously written by those with little understanding of the economics of running a business. Such a decision by Freeze's owners Time Warner Publications, has a far greater impact on our sport well beyond us not having a magazine to salivate over. It creates a void for companies to get their advertising message out to which in turn impacts the sponsored athletes who, in many cases, make their incomes from exposing their sponsors brands in the magazine.

This is a real setback for our sport and I question whether there is any immediate solution. Looking further down the road what will happen with the US Freeski Open and the East Coast Freeski Open - both of which are Freeze events?

Was Freeze really unprofitable? Only those on the inside will ever know. Is Time Warner Publications all about the almighty dollar? Hell yeah. Will they try and lure their advertisers and readers of Freeze into some other phony magazine they plan to launch that combines skiing and snowboarding? Probably, but its up to all of us to tell them to fuck off by not supporting it. Don't advertise in it, don't buy it and certainly don't support other Time Warner labels.
