I just recently acquired the full library of freeze magazines and think how did something like this go out of print and why is there nothing like it now?
 
i never was a big fan of freeze. the journalism was very poor.

axis magazine was a much better skiing mag, too bad that too is dead.
 
ya what happened to good ski mags. in my opinion, freeskeir blows ass and powder isnt that much better. i like the k2 magazine alot but thats only once a fricken year. i wish there was a magazine that was more core and into the sport like freeze and especially axis were.
 
ya skeeze is amazing, its too bad it only focuses on their team riders with the exeption of eric pollard.

it would be sick if it was year round. it has sick interviews, funny, and really good pictures.

and i love how all of the ads are fake

i had every issue save like the first 2. but i threw them all out one day when i was cleaning shit up. oh well. they were fun to look thru. those were the days...
 
I had the same opinion of freeze. I like powder a lot, actually. I've never heard of Axis.

But there really aren't too many good skiing mags.
 
i had a readers pic in freeze back in the day. like 1999 or something. its the one with seth avy surfing on the cover. you should mail that issue to me.
 
someone should start a really good ski mag... like the modest bike of skiing, though hopefully not too much like modest bike, because that would result in it dying, which would be a negative outcome.
