how did freeskier survive over freeze especially cause freeze was in with transworld.com just wondering ps am i the only one that still reads old freeze mags
 
freeze was doing better than freeskier, but transworld didnt think freeze was making enough money to be worth their while, so they cancelled freeze.
 
transworld didn't think there was much future for freeze as it had a limited audience (targeted for 14-24 approx.) so they dropped it, ignorant to the fact that the invention of twintips hd reenergized the attraction to skiing and has brought many kids back to skiing. freeskier's quality has improved since freeze went under, but i still prefer freeze.
 
yeah but the pages are bigger, so it's even easier for the 12 year old their coverage appeals to to hold the pages!
 
I'm always surprised when people claim that Freeze was doing so well, but the mag went out of business. Seems like if it was doing so well, it would be still in business? I guess I'm just confused about how business works. The better you do, and the more money you make, the less likely you are to stay in business? Hmmmm.
 
It wasn't that freeze was doing poorly but that Transworld did not see potential for growth in the future and they saw freeskiing as a niche sport so they dropped it.

The book I got has one years worth of issues including the 3-d issue

 
freeze was only made for half a year so transworld didnt think it was worth there time... assholes.... i still read that shit though, i am carefull about it though i dont want to ruin them... i put the last one in a plastic cover.
 
Freeskier doesn't have posters in there mags. that really pissess me off....Does anyone remember freeze sending stickers? that was awesome run outside to get freeze and theres stickers inside! oooo the good ol days of freeze
 
transworld has like 5 bracnhes. they ran low on money. Freeze was costing them, and getting the least in return so they cut em
 
because transworld media was not making enough money off of freeze, so they decided to get rid of it. it was breaking even and they wanted to see a profit, they weren't so its gone.
 
freeskier is good for a quick fix. but its not really that amazing. SBC skier is soooo much better. not as much park stuff, but the articles are soo goood and funny. deff th best mag out there. but freeze was sweet, the first freeskiing mag i ever bought. where can i get the book?
 
Freeskier sucks. I still wear my Freeze hoody with pride! And I still have some pages of stickers that came with two issues of Freeze. They need to bring back that magazine and put Freeskier down for the count.
 
freeze was fuckin awesome, it was also the first ski magazine i bought. I wish they would come back even if it was independently. I think they would get a lot of support from all of us that miss the good old days. People remember the liftie of the month?
 
Liftie of the month was way classier than Freeskier's trashy gear girls. The girl in the December issue is nasty!
 
i still have a HUGE stack of freeze mags that i'll go threw every now and then to look at the progression skiing has made over the years. i also grab a few if im giong on a plane trip or o a bigger mountain. My parents want me to box them up but i refuse every time. That magazine was the shit, and i almost cried when my dad said they were shutting down. (k maybe not almost cried, but i got pissed)

On another note I am suprised that Transworld didn't try and sell Freeze. That would have made me happy.
 
no like, they only sold their magazines half of the year, not just for a half year. i know they went for like 10 or so.
 
ya but for some reason transworld didnt like that much.. doesnt transworld snowboarding go all year?
