Freestyle water skis

I was wondering if it would be possible to make water skis that were made of the same material as a wakeboard with like the same boots so you could get into the air... because as of now waterskis are a lot heavier and thicker than a wakeboard.

id be glad to test them out...

they're not made outta the same stuff as a wakeboard, made out of wood just cuz theuy're hella old...but i bet if you bought new ones they'd be made out of that shit

They would have to be really wide in order to stay above the water, like as wide as normal waterskis

no foils or fins, just go off water ramps to get you're air

yah dude, they're like 3 feet long and hella wide...they're weird, but my friend chance (bigairbird) has some i think or somethin and he mighta said he liked em, but dont take my word for it cuz i have a bad memory and sometimes tend to make things up on accident.

someone with money and balls should get the widest twin on the market, get some beat up bindings and boots, and try and see what happens when they get towed...you never know, it could work.

They definantely make trick skis for water. It's still pretty popular amongst serious waterskiers. They have no fins so they are pretty 'slippery', but very fun. You can do flips, 180, 360, etc etc.

i got twin tip waters skis, they are 140 150 130 as the dimensions. lok kinda like the spatulas. they are old oconnely fiberglass skis whihc I melted the ends and made huge back tips. I mounted a wakeboard binding on em, they are fucking awesome. Easy to jib anything. I got a PVC pipe attached to my dock and you can either slide it as a box or as a rail. I have landed a 180, couple 3's and a backflip on a doubleup. they costs me all of 200 bucks to make, everythings just old. everyone should make a pair.

Shane McConkey waterskis on machetes behind snowmobiles across the water. He tried it once before fat skis were invented and almost drowned.

you can use hydrophoiles...sp check... and you can get air with them....these guys created surf boards with inverted ones on and it provides more of a pop and can get more air... it will work if u shape em like an inverted T off the bottom of the ski... but g/l trying
