Freestyle coaching for adults ( anybody over 18)

I get a strong feeling there's not a lot as far as coaching for freestyle or park to anybody over the age of 18. Like there's not a lot set up at mountains for that. I've been at Hood for 3 seasons and have come up dry every time when looking for coaching in the park. I'm 27, started sorta late and have had to teach myself most of where I am at today, and feel like the learning curve would be so much easier with just a little coaching

Have people been successful finding coaching in areas there trying to improve like freeride or park and being older? Which mountains tend to have better coaching when it comes to being outside the age of camps? Also, anybody done Windells adults? is it worth it?

As far as I know you can hire a private coach but im not sure how expensive they are, since you live at hood you should try windells in the summer perhaps, wont have to pay for housing there plus I recall from like 7 years ago the adults get to go out at night, maybe with coaches not sure though. Ive never had a coach except at windells, if you surround yourself with good skiers and push yourself you can progress, Im self taught and im sure some people would be blown away by the fact. Just keep having fun.

I'm in the same boat, been skiing actively for like 8 years and never had a lesson an actual lesson besides friends and family that are good skiers.

Where I live it's impossible to find a freestyle instructor except a friend of mine who has been teaching in Japan for past 5 seasons but like the dude above me said Youtube is great and the best part- its free

Check SkiAddiction and Stomp it tutorials, they cover pretty much all the basics and got some advanced stuff too. Helps to download clips to your phone so you can listen and rewatch on the lift. Have some friends shoot some videos and try to compare and correct the mistakes after.

Helped me a ton, just focus and stomp it dude

Get over the fear of eating shit and ignite that 13 year old passion within. Then start trying new tricks until you break yourself to the point you can’t take it anymore. Use the money you would have spent on a “coach” for OTC pain meds and get back out there.

Im 22 now, but since skiing PC almost everyday Ive begun to ski like im 16 again but since im not playing soccer every fall for the last 3 years it hurts to ski like that but its so fun, i can see how getting in better shape (im short and skinny af) would help me go hard for a lot more seasons.

just ask someone who is better than you in the park how to do a trick, I find people are always pretty helpful to other people who are just trying to improve their skills
