seems like with all the comps getting resturctured and or disapearing, the proes get proer, and the ams get ammer, is there room for new faces in the industry???
freeskiin is just beginnin lots of new people comin up the ranks, look out this sport aint seen nothin yet !!! the kids are gettin better every season.... wait till you see what the new moves will be at this year's US Open ....
Yeah last year there were crazy amounts of new kids coming on to the scene and killing it. I think this year will be the same way. Pro teams are getting bigger and there are more of them with the new companies coming out. I don't think freeskiing teams will ever reach Burton size teams but we can always hope.
I think rails in general are just a phase. - Anthony Boronowski
D-loc's picture looks like a monkey smoking that cig. If you had a mug like that would you really want everyone to see it.
Nah, you're supposed to mix one regular (170) ski with a blade (100) for ultimate X-TREMENESS. Use the blade for kicking wildly in the air and the regular one for style points while spinning. Then use both for fighting off lift lines!
It was just getting started. Losing Freeze is a severe loss to the sport, as you all know. Nevertheless, the impact of hardcore skiers has made a deep impression that has spawned a new generation that will not die with Freeze. New faces are plenty. Just watch the comps this year.
i dont want skiing to be like snowboarding, i know so many kids that snowboard just to do what everyone else does, they deny it but its obvious. I hope that never happens to skiing, everyone being the same is boring
Dying , No shut up without all that shit its just going to get better because its going to progress on sooo many different level's, Now everyone will have to figure out there own style and shit like that. Then when the olympic halfpipe comes around its gonna blow up huge again.
as long as people still are freeskiing, it won't die. There seems to be no lack of people who enjoy it, so I don't really see how you can say it's dying. Really its just getting started.
freeskiing is just beginning...i mean it has only been happening for like 10 years or so depending on where your at, and look at sports like skateboarding, its been here since the 70's and is always evolving and getting new people.
freskiing is here to stay as much as we dont want it to but in time i think freeskiing will be just as or bigger then skiing in the next 5 years or so ..teams are getting bigger movies are insane now .. i remeber when i saw high socity thats what got me pumped to by a crazy new thing called ' twin tip skis' or 'trick' skis was the cool name at the time hahahah but i can only see it getting bigger and changing in many ways for the better.
