hi everybody,

im just inda curious about what it takes ot be competitive in a freskiing competition. right now i am fine with dropping anthing up to about 25 feet and i can ski/bomb just about anything. would i be a viable competitor in a freeskiing comp?

yeah, itll be a few years before i can any of those off a 2 foot cliff...need to spend a few years at jackson.

Freeskiing comp... not freestyle.

Freeskiing judges look for

A: the line you chooes, (difficulty)

B: how clean you ride it, no mistakes/falls.

C: Form

D: Tricks and drops...

Go to a freeskiing comp sometime and just observe everything and everyone. If you think you can do better than the poeple compeating, then sign up next year.

From what i've seen, you have to be sorta nutty and stupid. THose guys absolutely rip in any conditions. IF theres 3 feet of fresh, or 3 inches, they'll still kill it. Shit's rill scary.

sounds good to me. i mean, i do compete in he only freeskiing comp that i know of out here in the east, the castlerock comp. but yeah, ive watched some vids of some freeskiing out west. some of the guys r absolutly ridiculous, but then again some of the guys lines look fairly mellow.
