best thing ive read in freeskier in a while. 'frighteningly awful outside the park.' but we all knew this was going to be the story as soon as we found out that they were de-tuning the edges under the boot. any thoughts on this subject?

sorry to be a post whore in my own thread, but i find it absolutely hilarious that freeskier said that the fujative was a 'solid' all mountain ski. correct me if im wrong, but didnt pep design this to be park spicific?

i bet they had some 'sick' skiers testing these skis out.. thats only the opinion of a few peeps at freeskier...i bet the t$'s rip outside the park...i love butters on natty stuff. that kind of skiing is fun for some people...

 
fuck ur dumb pepe did design the ski to be park specific but all thier sayin is it can hold it's own outta park not that it's amazing

If your edges round anyway, then there is almost no point in having designed dulled edges. I think its more like a sales pitch than anything else.

 
I hope for the sake of young people that they are not rounded on the full length of the ski, because if they are and someone goes down a really icy run that's sorta steep...it's all over but the cryin'

what freeskier issuse is this in and I ride fujatives and they are a lot better out of the park than people think and they are fricken sweet in powder cause they are so fat.

sometimes when im running water to wash dishes or something, i think about how lucky i am to have such simple access to running water and how some people will never know such a simple pleasure.

then i let it run for awhile, just because i can.

 
number one skier in the world... based on what? how many people are followers just because he is the only skier they know of? seriously i am getting tired of this whole tanner is god attitude. people need to wake up and realize there are other people out there that have just as good, if not better style and can throw down more stylie tricks. just because he wins contests doesnt mean he is the best, just think of all the skiers who dont enter contests.

dont get me wrong though, he is good, i just dont think he is the best in the world.

i never said tanner sucked, hes miles ahead of me, but his ski got bad reviews, thats what this thread is about.

obviously non of you have seen the ski in the shops, i took a look at them and the edges arn't even that rounded out go take a look.

roles royce is a car to be driven in, bently is a car to drive.

Just because the ski is designed for park doesnt mean it cant regulate on the rest of the mountain too. If you arent a pussy, you can deal...

 
especially out east, where we really dont need an all-mountain ski. the park run is the same as any other iced over bullet proof trail. or if were lucky we get packed snow

Yeah I still don't get why they come with the rounded edges. It's so easy to do it yourself, just use a tuning stone or dremel or grinder. They are still sharp out at the tip and tail. I guess if youwant real edges go with the AR5.

45 degree edge bevel is worse than de-tuned edges. Besides with that much bevel, you would be grinding all base, heh

sure if you have sharp edges they will eventually get rounded out, but until they do those sharp edges will be catching on rails causing things like cracks in your edge and in your head when you catch an edge and fall on it. pre dulled edges won't catch, so your edge won't break, and neither will your face. plus you still have sharp edge everywhere else so it's not like you can't ski the rest of the mountain. i skied half of last season with completely dull cracked fucked up edges underfoot, and really, it's no problem.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.
