Freeskier vs ns

by now a bunch of us have seen the new freeskier and new ns. freeskier's always had alot of good news, media coverage, and tv but now they have some good profile stuff and member pictures. I like the pro files section. I doubt the forums will ever be better than ns but the sites startin to remind me of ns. Its not just a mag site anymore. Any thoughts or has it always been like this and i'm just real slow to notice.
 
word. ns will always be my number one site no doubt but i was commentin more that ns is expanding its coverage (expanding front page and the merge from a while back) while freeskier seems to be improvin its interaction. ignorin that ns is slow as fuck right now cause in do time i'm sure all that'll be fine
 
The front page is too jam packed with ads and other bullshit.

We need to donate more so they dont have to run all these fucking flash ads and fucking nonsense
 
the freeskier site is still the normal site on my computer..... it hasn't updated yet

and for those who think ns is slow, go to TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS, then delete your files and cookies, and it will run tons faster
 
if your bookmark or homepage is set to www.freeskier.com/freeskier it will take you to the old site. just delete the /freeskier and it should take you to the new Freeskier site.
 
It certainly is a good site! Well done job on designing a cool site.

I'm interested to see how the two sites grow and morph from here forwards, as the internet is always so changing and flexible.

This isn't "the new NS" though. This was the jump where we moved servers, and changed the codebase... the new NS is coming out slowly between now and winter. We've only launched like 20% of whats new.

 
I would appreciate some chrome rims spinning somewhere on the page.... i don't think that it is flashy enough. but i look forward to the 100% new NS
 
Yeah man, we're all about a slow launch approach. We had to make one big sweeping change (which was the "new ns") but really the only reason it went like that was the fact that we had to change servers. The whole site moved to a completely new setup in LA versus Texas which was where it was located before.

This is the reason why things are slow, and there's some bugs. We were just changing servers, but by no means launching the full capacity of what is coming by winter. Sorry for taking so long with everything, we've been dealing with a lot of changes over the last few months. Things are moving forwards though, and now that we're on the new setup we can actually start making this website sicker.

NS all the way, even if it is slow. Seriously, its NS. Where else and what else would you do all day?

Wow I seriously thought this was totally new. This sounds like a freaking awesome dealio you rednames got going here. I'm stoked!
 
what i'd use freeskier for is to see pro videos and team updates, FFL, online mag, and the full length movies that they are supposed to come out with. - they seem to have faster comp and pro updates also
