So I was reading though one my older Freeskier magazines the other night (v7 i3 December 2004) and noticed one of the questions asked during Tanner Hall's interview and found it interesting, so I thought I'd share it.

p.75

Mike Douglas:

What's it going to take to win competitions in the next few years? Will you need to throw a switch 1440 with a grab?

Tanner Hall:

No, no. Now so many kids are starting to spin to the right side. I've talked to Simon Dumont, Jon Olsson and the guys who are leading the comp scene about this stuff. It's all about being smooth and bringing out good style on both sides. Being able to look good spinning both ways on jumps, rails and in the pipe. But big air is basically a junk show and is always going to be about spinning hard.

He's saying yeah that big airs will always be like that. I think for most of his answer he is talking about slopestyle.

I'm pretty sure Tanner was mostly talking about slopestyle in that article...2k3, 2k4 was when he was winning every slopestyle contest under the sun, no?

Sorry, I didn't know you where talking about the part about slopestyle. But I was referring to this quote, "But big air is basically a junk show and is always going to be about spinning hard."

From what I could get from the thread starter...that was his reply to the article...he just didn't put a blank line in there to make it easier to understand...unless i'm wrong, which i could be, cause i didn't read the actual article ever.

haha i thought it was funny i was reading today about jay michfielder(sp?) was talking about the dude in his shot at chads last year and tanners like whoaaa man thats BJ the crazy snowboarder.
