FREESKIER the am issue

after reading all these interviews in the last couple of days and reading the new transworld skateboarding am issue, i have realized that freeskier should defintely follow suit and release an am issue. any way newschoolers could convince them of this?
 
haha...i like NS better than freeskier.com...that said... the magazine is the only thing our industry has...and until freeze comes back(or something similar) i'll have to survive on my free lifetime subscription of freeskier
 


ironic, then, that the founder of NS went over to Freeskier, eh?

NS does cover a much wider range of skiing levels. And also covers more topics too. Such as banging like a hammer.
 
sadly i think it works best if NS tries to expose the ams and freeskier works with the pros....its too hard for a 60 page mag that has to appeal to mcdonalds and other sponsors to add extra pages of skiers not making 20grand+...........

can't and won't be done...not for another 5 years minimum...the amount of funding needed for that far exceeds the current budget
 
why all the hate on freeskier? i think its sick and helps me get through the week before skiing. but then again so does newschoolers.

Newschoolers already has press releases from both people who work for newschoolers, and from inidivudals who host events etc. The workers of newschoolers spend a lot of time covering events and happenings, and I think we should be satisfied with that. I mean I am. I dont think it really has to be slightly re-organized into an online magazine when all the pages are right here.
 
I'm really glad to see you guys like the content on the site. Somewhere in Egypt, Schmuck is smiling. I can promise that if you enjoyed the addition of content this year then next year your head might explode from content overload. The best way to get the content you want is to post it right here in the forums. If you don't think Schmuck, the gang, and I cruise the forums for story ideas, you're nuts!

yea sorry that was uncalled for, wheres that thread? i feel pretty strongly that freeskier is a good source for info, it's not like NS by any means but i always am stoked when i get mine in the mail, but it def focuses on only a few main skiers, like the big ones and u don't really hear about the cooler ones
 
A Newschoolers mag doesn't really make sense, because everything you would get in a magazine would be already put on this site...I would much rather read stuff right when it happens rather than wait a month after everything happens to read about it.

true, as long as NS exists there will be no need for an am issue, example: youve already heard about all the kids in freeskier three years before on NS

am issue wouldbe dope, freeskier blows only reason it even sometimes appears to be ok is cuz there is no comp- their site is just annoying
