Freeskier Photo Annual

so i got the photo annual last night, and im pretty disappointed.

the photos themselves only took up 35 pages, a good portion of them lfestyles, and the rest not all that cool. both Erik Roner and Benchtler have some sick pow shots and there were a couple creative shots ( the one with the sunrise, KC Deane and one by Blake Jorgensen). aside from that, i wasnt all that impressed. i remember the first issue i got when i was like 12 and i was like whoaaa.

anyone else think Freeskier really fell off this year? Freeze was way better.
 
NO. Photo annuals are great, especially if you are an aspiring photographer. Fewer lifestyle shots would be nice, but I think we're all changed people after seeing the one of Chug, so you can't throw them all out. I agree there were only a few real WOWZER shots, but if you take them apart from a technical standpoint (lighting, comp, etc) most of them were really good.
 
i really like the photo annuals. plus it gives me something to try to draw in classI've seen the skiing one and freeskier, some sick shots in bothI also get transworld free from the USASA, but i didn't really like it, for sure a different kind of style for the snowboard shots
 
freeskier was never really that good anyways. i just don't even look at magazines anymore.
 
Anyone who opens up freeskier and expects to find any sort of quality content is a moron. Now, if you're a marketing/advertising major, it's a great resource.

I will say that their site can be goodish and that Road Trip Challenge was a brilliant idea and should be thanked in the credits of every single webisode series since.
 
Agreed. Last years had so many good shots. I believe it was Liam Downy jumping off the slide? Such a sick shot.
