I have $28,000 and I want to buy Matt Sterbenz, and he is $28,000, but when I try to buy him, it tells me, 'Your funds have been squandered sucka!'

you can't spend the last bit, because once the contests open up, you will need $$ to enter your team into them. And if you use all your money on buying a team, you won't have any left to go into comps with!
