freeride sksi

i know all you guys on here will freak but im looking to get rid of my scrathces and head for a freeride ski for mainly piste and powder, doesnt have to be full twin tip. any suggestions, im thinking salomon scream ltd, k2 apache recon volkl 724 pro. please help

i ride Line assassin mtx pro's....really stable ski. Very stiff, not a full twin, great for carving and all mountain. Also very light. so far i have been very impressed with them. You could also probly get them for somewhat cheap.

I have skied and owened the Volkl SuperSport and 724. The SS is an awesome ski, but the 724 is more of a freeride ski. I have always like the way the Volkls ski, they are very sure-footed and handle real nice. I have owned at least 5 different Volkl skis over the years. I have demoed some K2's in the past and never really liked the way they skied. K2 now owns Volkl, but they are really 2 different skis.

Ultimately it would probably be best if you got out the snow and demoed at least one of them before you make a purchase.

those assasins sound nice but im not sure about lines, iv heard public enemys are good for piste and powder aswell as park, any opinions

public enemys are great all over the mtn...if you want a more freeride minded ski, go with the pistol, which is the perfect do anything and go anywhere ski

there are so many more options though. line's new prophet 100 would be a good choice for what you are talking about. other options are: volkl karma, armada arv, 4frnt msp, etc etc etc

lots of great all-mtn freeride twins out there.

you can mount looks or salos on pe's

I ride the Volkl Karmas. Great all mountain ski with a little bit of park flavor as well. I demoed the 724 which are a great bomber ski.

The Pistols really aren't too wide for groomers. I would look at them, also take a look at the Line Mothership for next year or the Prophet 100 if you can wait that long. Both will be really good freeride skis that will handle the piste just fine if you are a decent skier.

Why not go for the Volkl Karma. I've got'em and they rock everything. You can do carving very well, great in powder and very cool in the park.

I love mine....
