Freeing up space on my computer

But anyways, I need to clear space up for WoW besides doing Disk Cleanup is there anything else I can do? I really have went through program files and deleted mostly everything unnessasary but I still dont have much space

Now it's saying it wont let me defrag because I only have 8% space left and it needs 15%

that isnt really much space to begin with. You should check certain folders, like my documents or programs and see whats in there that you dont use. Right click and properties on each, including the C drive to see how much is in each and clean stuff up a bit.
Otherwise you could possible get an external hard drive. or another hard drive if it isnt a notebook.

properties of the disk > clean up disk --then you can start cleaning out old/unusedfiles and programs.

Alright I have 3.24GB's free now and Disk Cleanup is in the process, anybody have a clue how much space WoW takes up?

Stop using AOL explorer.

Run a search for files bigger than like 20mb and delete anything you dont need.

I used to play Final Fantasy 11 so I'm no stranger to addicting MMORPGs.

Anyway, why should I stop using AOL explorer? I'm deleting shit now I needed 4.8gigs and I have 4.9 available lol. Porn is gone, almost everything is gone I've stripped my computer to load this shit.

on another note, i was down to 2 free gigs of space on my laptop (of 120 gigs) so i deleted all of the porn i could find on it, then i had 20 free gigs. i realized i had a bit of an addiction.

i would like to add that just because you have JUST enough room to have WoW or whatever else you plan on playing doesnt mean its going to run fast, the more free space you have the better. make sure you have some breathing room in your hard drive

if you have a lot of hi res photos resize them with the picture resizer powertoy from microsoft, takes very little time. i changed about 4gigs of photos to about 1 gig, still keeping quite a lot in hi res, which i will blow up. also delete any programs you dont use as they take up a lot of space.
