FREEBORD STREET SKI

if you don't already know what a freebord is then here:

yeah yeah i know it simulates snowboarding but wouldn't it be awesome if this concept was used to make street skis? I thought so too, so i e-mailed the makers of Freebords and they told me they don't think there is a big enough market

so i came here to get your voices.

POST A REPLY IF YOU WANT TO SKI ALL YEAR ROUND AND SHRED SOME PAVEMENT!!!!!!!!!

also check out this longboard truck that could be used on the skis:

Adjusting the steering angle would be just like adjusting the shape of a ski

eg. 40 degrees = slalom sk i... 10 degrees = downhill ski

and adjusting the bushings would be the same as adjusting the stiffness of a ski

eg. tight bushings = stiff ski ... loose bushings = soft ski

so now just imagine some 110's (possibly snowblades) with these trucks and freebord swivel wheels mounted to the bottoms

IT WOULD WORK!! AND I WANT TO RIDE THEM !! POST A RESPONSE IF YOU WANT TO!

i may just have to rig myself up one of these, the problem is that the skis themselves would have to be very wide, threads for if i have time and money

longboarding and skateboarding is where its at during the summer for me. this would kind of be like wake skis being introduced to the water sports community. i'll stick with wakeboarding and wakeskating on the water thank you.

I am totally in with this idea!!! I am trying to make some of my own right now but I can't afford another freebord. I miss skiing so much right now, I'm about to go crazy!! If anyone can find some really cheap freebord trucks I'd be happy to make some skis!! I really think it will work! I'm in! :)
