For the past month I have been writing companies about positive and negative experiences I have had with their company. I wrote ziploc about some bad bags I got and I got a free replacement box. Applebees gave me free dinner and half off appetizers. I got 15% off coupon at my local windsurfing shop. these are just a few of the many i got back so far. If you have time to burn and wouldn't mind getting some free stuff give it a shot.

 
that has not occured to me yet, but you know what, I will utilize the 6 weeks I get off from school (haha so great to be outta highschool) to do some shit like this. DId you make up the stories?

I started with true stories. I have bad/good experiences with a different companies on a daily basis. Think about how many different times you have left a restaurante pissed off because you had shitty service or conversely had a great server and had a good time. I just write down the waiters name and include it in the letter. It seriously works great and it is interesting to see which companies have standard issue reply letters and which have personaly written and signed letters.

 
we did that to Mike & Ike's and we were like 'we like the old original flavor better, these ones are gross' and they sent us mike and ikes clothing and 3 original boxes

i bought a pair of tight ass nike's when i was in like 7ths grade for like 1/2 off the origional price of 120 bucks...they then seemed to de-soul about 3 months later, so i called up nike and complained, they told me to send them the sneakers back in a box with the recept...a couple weeks later i had the brand new model of that shoe...i proceded to do this for about 3 years, every couple months...the rule they have is that if you send that back within 6 months of the buy date, you will most likely get a new pair back...pretty tight

our family was at this hotel once in barbados like 12 of us had gone there for like a big extended family vacation so like at the end of the week we bitched that it was like the suckiest week ever, they gave us 3 more days in the hotel in the best suites for free and payed for our plane ticket home it was the coolest thing that like ever happened to me

i bought a mp3 player off ebay. and it fried itself within a couple days. so i phoned the company and they asked me to send it back (i live in ottawa and the place is in cali so it took a while to shop). within 2 months i got a brand new one.
 
someone told me once that if you tell "little debbies" (the dessert company) that you like their products they will send you some, i don't know if its true though.
 
my stepdad does that all the time.. he has gotten soo much free stuff.. anywhere from lysol to free meal at diners for the family.. pretty sweet
 
My friend did that with some of the 'satisfaction guaranteed' things. He got a bunch of free cookies and bags of chips. Also it's pretty easy to get replacement stuff from McDonald's I've heard.
 
my friend called lay's in lunch last year and said there was a leprichaun in his bag of chips. he got a coupon for a new bag.
 
Evo gear sent me a free pair of 177 4FRNT STL's this year. I don't think they meant to though b/c i ordered Foils. I ended up with both pairs for 55% off the price of the foils... it was pretty dope.

anyone wanna buy the stl's? they're still unmounted.
 
My uncle does that for North Face and they send him these $150 jackets whenever a new line comes out....He has been doing it for them for like 10 years..
 
this was a school assignment I had to do in like grade 8 way back in the day. I wrote jolly rancher because that was right when they had released the chewy ones. I told them that although I love the jolly ranchers, I found that the wrapper sticked to the candy way to much and I would often end up ripping most of it off, consequently eating that paper underlayer that happens when you can only rip the top layer off. They sent me like 10 coupons for free products from whatever company it is that makes jolly rancher.
