I freakin HATE it when kids get free stuff from their parents or start bitching about the new goggles they didnt get (see a couple threads below or so).

If you have goggles be thankful because most people don't ski with fancy 07 goggles that don't work better than the ones 5 years before.

I just got new skis this year because I got a raise at my job...and my other skis were totally destroyed from a cliff crash. So don't talk to me about my new shit. I deserved it because I work my ass off every day to pay taxes and work toward tuition.

 
Don't really get your rant, but don't you think us parents don't bust our arses so we can afford to by this gear for our kids? Why not make do with last years gear its still ok?, fair point but if every one had the same attitde a lot of the companies would go bust pretty quick.

A friend of mine bought a 550 Ferrari a few years ago and I can remember saying to him "why did you spend all that money on a car when your 911 is only 6 monthes old? his answer was that he was investing in car technology today so that the rest of us can benifit from in a few years time" Kind of changed my attitude towards people that have the latest and newest.
 
that is sheer bullshit......if your that rich then fuck off this site. Giving you kids the brand new gear makes them spoilt, and not appreaciate what they have. Ive worked for all the gear i have and i love my skis. They are my babies and my stuff lasts longer. In the real world your not always going to be there for your kids, and if you don't put a good work eithic in them they woun't survive on their own. They will think the world owes them something. The companies would not go bust if parents didn't buy everything for their kids. Most people i know buy all their own gear. Ohh BTW your buddy didn't buy a ferrari for its "NEW TECHNOLOGY." Technologically,ferraris are the not that high, mercedies benz has way way more technological advances ( drive by wire, GPS, TCS, 4matic AWD, tiptronic tranny). Your buddy bought a ferrari for one of two reasons, A: because its a fucking ferrari, or B: to overcompinsate for his small penis size.
 
Couldn't agree more...I work towards all my shit, my parents bought me stuff when I was younger, but when I was old enough to get a job, it was time I started spending my money wisely...Get erady for the real world

ya dude fuck all these rich kids... they dont even learn what it takes to fend for them selves. they get all the new shit and dont even relize the value of a dollar. they fuckin decide to learn to ski so they become the ultimate posers rockin new twins and the latest outerwear when they cant even ride the bunny park. rich kids need to be tought som good job ethic. then they might notice the the value of hard work, to get what you need.
 
yea same for me my rents bought my like junior stuff at the local swap when i was like5-10 yrs old but now its all my money...the money i work hard to get at the local pizza shop.
 
i love how so many people bitch about rich kids gettin free stuff, but if they had rich parents its not like theyd say "no thanks, i think ill stick with my shitty gear instead of gettin free new stuff" i understand that them complaining bout their new stuff can get a little annoying, but just deal with it
 
no i bitch when kids come on here and front their new shit, and somehow find a way to bitch about it. If i had new shit i would be happy as fuck, and would appreciate it. I know what it is to have crap gear, im still running with the original AR5s, and they are in tough shape. So when i get new skis, im going to love them. It give you a new appreciation for things.
 
so i worked all spring and summer... sold all of my old gear.. and bought all my own stuff because i dont want to be spoiled... but i didnt have enough for boots, so my parents bought me them... does it make me spoiled?
 
maybe you should learn to read you fucking retard. they said their friend bought the car because they were investing in the car industry to GET new technology. and that was their whole point, they they bought the new stuff to invest in it so that others could get somthing out of it later. so maybe if you learnt to read you wouldnt have sounded like such a moron when you posted that reply
 
and just to make it clear, i also buy all my stuff myself. but i could care less about the people who get it from there parents. who cares
 
if your bitching about rich kids having dank gear its because your not rich. trust me i work for most of my gear but my parents will still help a little, doesnt mean im rich or anything btu shit if i was rich i would be sure to get the newest should i could because i could

when I lived with my parents I still didn't get free gear and we were pretty well off.

I'd rather not ski than not work for shit. I would just feel...like I was cheating people.
 
yea my parents have never paid for a pair of my twins.

they're still against it and only will buy me race stuff if i want.

I work my ass off, only 15 so i cant get a good job, to buy everything i wear and ski

How about this, when he bought the car the money went two places, A: the dealer's pocket, and B: to fund Enzo jr's new learjet. If he wanted to invest in new technology he would have bought stock. i hate kids who suck at skiing and get whatever they want because their parents are rich. like this one kid that goes to my school SUCKS at skiing and he gets this years tms, some crowbars, and hes getting bindings too, but he is absolutely terrible
 
i know how u feel,, these fucken kids going around saying "look at my new skiis, look at my new goggles", then i ask them how the hell did u afford that, ,oh my parents bought it for me,,, then there like, "but i didnt get a new jacket this year" and im like oh go cry me a river,,, ive been riding my skiis for a 4th season now, and there is absolotly no way my rents will buy me new skis, and i cant afford new skiis either,, so too all those kids who get "free" stuff from their rents, and complanin about not gettin something, go blow ur self..

-dude thats like crazy, why would you rather work than ski, like, i dont no about you, but im going to ski any way that i can, no matter what, so like, im not going to quit skiing. ever. Skiing is a lifestyle, it determines everything

 
well see i do house work jus about everyday rather its mowing the yard or cleaning my room, cleaning garage, dishes, taking out the trash, but since i do all that i get new shit alot but see i dont get allowance or nething so i am techinially working to get money and i do appreciate life and that nothing comes free and as a 14 yr old i would have to say work sucks but u gotta get used to cause u wont get nowhere in life without it
