Yeah I really hope he does because the only answer I got from HV was "scientists, philosophers, and parking lot attendants" which I took to mean snowboarders...
 
about all the dub hype....
every comp ive been to this year/heard about, theres been dub hype. i can promise you it wont happen. and even if it does... this is a slopestyle event. ID LOVE to watch a kid land a whole run and then try his first dub at the end and stick it. i mean you see the pros muffing up dubs in slopestyle runs, and they do dubs ALL the time. so to answer everyones question... GET OFF THE DUBHYPE, its not happening...
 
THis is true, but there is a kid at HV who actually had dub underflip 9, I honestly would not be surprised to see it. You never know though.
 
all i know is im stolked, making the 7 hour trip, gonna be so fun to compete.anyone know what the course is looking like?
 
the possibility of someone landing a legit run with a dub? low

possibility of kid(s) hucking dubs? not bad at all. derrick has done it, and im pretty sure he'll try it. believe me, its not out of the question.

I think i might. i've never entered into GFFT before, nor do i know how good everyone skis but, i think i will enter :)
 
if he hucks a dub and lands it... more power to him. ill die inside cause i know that huck will win it, but ill still give utmost props. nonetheless, a dub should not be tried on a HV jump. its dangerous after consecutive jumps, and no matter what wont look pretty.
 
you cant expect someones first dub to look pretty, more than likely your first 360 wasnt that steezy...
 
my guess, is that everyone is going to be like ohh yeah man im gonna try a dub, its not scary to think of trying new tricks when you arent at the hill, when you get there, itll be like oh shit, nevermind. and also, im not to confident with the jumps being big enough to dub at holiday.

should be a fun comp though, im stoked for it!!!
 
I judged Killy and okemo.
If you competed or attended either of these stops and have issues with judging, i would be more than happy to explain why people placed the way that they did.

 
so does anyone know who the dude in the man-thong who hucked dub was? im really pissed i missed that. i really hope someone has a video
 
Threads for the video.Didn't get to see the comp because I had snowball that night. But I saw the Gatorade rail the next day and that thing looked pretty gnarly.
