This is my take on a ski movie, wantet to make something a bit different. It's shot mostly with a 35mm adapter.

Feedback , comments and/or constructive critisism is appreciated.

Thanks for embedding it for me.

Yeah, there's a lot of slow motion. But don't worry, it kinda speeds up towards the end.

last song was mad annoying but other than that great job man!!

at 430 when all 3 kids nailed their tricks that was really siiick

downloaded an distributed to all iPhones in the office.

Great stuff man, and thanks for allowing it to be dl'd

Sick edit. loved the music, editing and riding! Great job, much better than I've seen from any other film makers this year! Gå Norge! wehu
Do you go to film school or something?

Dude, THANK YOU so much. that edit just made my day. I have been waiting for an edit to come out like this for quite some time now. what you did with the filming was grade A+, and the music? Boards and Prefuse in one single edit? HELLS YEAH. thank you for re-kindling my faith in the direction that ski film making is going. You keep making these edits, and I'll keep loving every second.

Yes. And, Animal Collective...or some iteration thereof. Lars is clearly a music nerd, and I love it.
I like your username, by the way.

was cool to watch, had a very fun and chilled vibe! some creative shots and some banger tricks! looking forward to more for sure

That was sick! I didnt expect it to be that good, I thought the editing was excellent and some of the rail skils were dope. Not the kind of music i would listen to on the hill but it suited the flow of the edit really well I thought.

I'd like to say thanks for all the positive feedback, I wasn't expecting a reaction this positive, and it's really cool to see that people are getting what I was trying to do with it. I do feel like the song selection in ski movies generally is too narrow, and that there are other interesting ways of presenting skiing that should be explored, rather than sticking to the formula. Again, I'm really glad so many of you liked it.

I'm not currently planning any projects like this one, as I've started studying (science), but I'll hopefully be able to put together an edit or two during the winter.

Oh, and details about the camera or equipment are availible in the video comments on vimeo, just follow the link in the first post. If you have any other questions you'd like me to answer, send a pm here or on vimeo.

Dntel: Thanks, good to hear it. And Dntel is good stuff

casual: You're probably right

Hooper: I like that you noticed that, such a good movie. If you watch Shaun of the Dead you'll recognize the intro music as well.

...does this earn me an orange username?

Very very good.

Loved the music and the vibe.

I also loved the way you captured the surroundings. Like the shots of empty t-bars in the mist etc.

Dude, that was dope! That was so much better than all the thuged out crap I am seeing these days. Keep up the good work.

that was sweet man, again not super into some of the music but your out there trying something new and the editing was pretty sweet i give you two thumbs up for sho.
