"freakout" new free-skiing game

wow that looks... kinda gay. Volcom skis, cannon ball front flips, flames on the bottom of the screen. SICK!!!! THAT"S GNAR CORE!!!!
 
this is like the second skiing game ever mass produced. It could be a gateway to other games like this and eventually maybe even an amped with skiers in it. It may seem unrealistic but what do we have to compare it to?

so it's a step in the right direction. Give it a chance.

You guys need to chill the fuck out. Its another skiing game. Even if its the worst game ever, it is still a good thing. (And we all know it can't possibly be as bad as JMMT). How many people are going to think this game is gay because they have Volcom skis? You guys should go fuck yourselves if your going to cry over the name on some fake skis that probably aren't even in the game. You have to be optimistic about this shit and support it, maybe one day these companies will realize that if they make quality games than its actually in their best interest. Then we might have the Amped series of skiing that we all jerk off to thinking about.

looks more like a big mountain game then anything else, i think these guys are from europe, so it might be primarily about the crazy fucking skiings those "freeriders" do out there

I dunno, could be cool I guess. It wont have the three axes of rotation so you can do true rodeo's and lincolns, but hey, I'll still buy it and enjoy it.
 
that game was ridiculous. Everything about it. the intro, "johnny, sign these", Johnny mosely having all his stats full while people like tanner had shitty stats, the fake characters doing tricks like the muscle flex and the spin grind, the standing rodeos/mistys, the controls where incredibly gay, press left to do a misty, you couldn't cork acctualyl I think cork 7 was tanners special move, the commentator "ABSOLUTLY LUDACRIS!!!!" "18 year old virgin with a rodeo 5 with a misty 5 with a backflip with a front flip with a tail grab with a spin grind with a muscleflex etc..."

That game made me dislike Johnny Mosely even more than I already did.
 
As shitty as this game will possibly be...I love this. Think of snowboarding early games...cool boarders, 1080, even before those they were all extreme and unrealistic...we're on the right path. I'm great with it. I'll most likely get it.

soo soo so so so lame. i dont want to even hear about this game. why cant anyone mae a legit game? like tony hawk has finally made a legit skating game with progect 8, its so sick, and has no fake shit really.
 
I laugh my ass off everytime I read these threads about video games and skiing... news flash guys... thats why it's a video game. Video games exist outside the real world.

It is very hard for a game to judge how we judge skiing. To the game a spin is a spin is a spin. It can be slightly modified with grabs, tweaks and off axis... but it all fits in a specific definition. Games like amped started deducting points for sketch landings, but then that fits in a definition as well.. the more degrees off plane you land, the more points are deducted.

It is very hard for a machine to judge aesthetics like people do.

If you want to do something real, go out and ski.

And this game doesnt look that bad. I just hope some of the physics are better than most extreme sports games. I need smooooth like amped!
