Frat Brothers?

nice, i'm thinking about pledging next semester

wanna share any initiation rituals with us? i wanna know what goes on

frats is probably the most ridiculous thing on earth. the worst is what people agree to do for that ... you should try to get friends for what you are, not what you can give them

I never thought I would join a frat, but now that I am at college, I for sure am going to join one.

i thought frats and sororities were pretty lame, but my brother's gf is in one at ubc and i've been to a couple of the things they do, and it's really not that bad...basically, it's people that want to get to know other people and do stuff on campus and drink a lot.... it might just be different in canada though

haha wordddd...i have to get the application and what not but it would definatly be sick to ski whistler all the time

Frat guys overall are the dumbest son of a bitches I have ever met. Almost every frat guy I have met in utah is the most stupid immature fuck around.

i guess frats are for people who need rules to live, who need an organization around them and can't live on their own, alone ...you know the kinda guys who will do anything without thinking if others do it too ...

frats are for some people. I nthe states more so than Canada I can see the draw. I got rushed by a few at my university, but it being canadian, the only thing the frats do is drink and some community service. If I were in the states, I would most likely join one. From what I see, its a really good way to network.

Saying all fraternities are "paying for your friends", or "is for people who can't meet people on their own" is about as fair a sterotype as saying "all those skater and punk kids love Blink 182". As for the "paying for friends" bs, It would cost me less to pay dues and rent then it would for me to live in the dorms on campus. Sterotyping all fraternities how a lot of you is fairly ignorant.

you're right(kill blink 182), but we are definitely forced to stereotype on every single suject, otherwise we couldn't talk

And how would you know anything about the workings of any of the fraternities at the U? What is that opinion based on?

I hope you dont try to say they help the community and what not, they only do that because they have to and even then its not much....Oooo you raised $500 dollars for battered women great.

We actually do a lot of positive things. Last weekend our brothers donated hundreds of hours of time to help with the Special Olympics. It wasn't required, no one told anyone they had to do anyhting, they just came out and did it because it was a good thing to do. Over the last few weeks our house has put in over 150 hours of community service; all while partying hard and maintaining a house GPA of over 3.0. We may not be moving mountains and raising $1000s for differnt causes, but its something to help. What have you done? So yeah I guess your right, all fraternities are a really negetive enviroment.

I'm not Sigma Nu or Beta. You talk as if really care about what you have to say about my fraternity or any fraternity for that. I guess more then anything I'm sorry that you got a negetive feeling for the Greek system.

All the frat guys up here are cool shit, they invite me and a few of my friends to thier functions all the time. maybe you don't like them if you're not cool with them but they def. look out for you if they like you. I told them i wasnt even sure if i was pledgin next semester and they still give me the heads up on thier parties. its just little loseers complaining about how "gay" they are because they don't like you
