hoped this was going to be a photo or painting of Franklin Pierce shredding pow. Not too disappointed.

your closest mountain would probably be Granite Gorge, which is a very very small mountain, like we are talking one lift small. A good, close, and cheap option for you is Crotched Mountain in Bennington, NH. Its small, but cheap and really good for the money. They run a very good mountain. I would know, I work there ;)

Im gonna be a senior in hs next year so not in college yet, but Crotched is one of those mountains that if you go to enough you will get to know people. Especially if you ride in the park, everybody knows everybody some way or another.

Pat's Peak is much closer than Granite Gorge and much larger. Both are pretty shitty. Loon is about an hour away. Go there. If you have any questions about the Pat's scene, hit me up, I live in Concord, although I go to college in Maine now.

Go to Loon, don't bother with Crotched the park is subpar and not worth it at all....Once the set up is in, it stays the same, never changing...

One could argue which is better between Crotched and Pat's. Loon is obviously better, but the question would then come to "would you rather pay $80 to go to Loon or about $20 to go to Crotched?" People hate on Crotched but truly its not bad at all for the money. Its a good mountain to go to and fuck around and have a good time at. Nobody really gives a shit what you do. Im not trying to sell it because I work there or anything, I know and will completely agree that Loon is better, but I just like the small mountain, fuck around atmosphere of Crotched. Any of the mountains in this thread are decent mountains for the price they are at

I haven't been to Crotched when they've had more than like five features set up, and Pats has been making some slow improvements the past few years. With Loon's college pass, which I think is around $400, it's definitely the way to go if you can make the trip consistently.

Also, as a Concord local, which is where FP is, Pat's is unquestionably the closest of the three small mountains for me; I've made the trip in precisely 16 minutes before.

yeah i went to crotched this season a couple of times and i actually really liked there park cuz the lift took you right up to the top and had a bunch of rails and a couple decent jumps and never any lift lines but loon would def be the way to go most of the time
