Frame bindings

So I’m gonna be buying my new setup relatively soon, gonna be kartel 108s, but I’m deciding which bindings to get rn. I was thinking of getting frames so I could do a bit more hiking stuff(don’t wanna commit to tech stuff yet). So I’m just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for frames to get, hopefully as light as possible but not crazy expensive

If it’s possible do you think you can weigh them? If they’re gonna be mad heavy I may not go with frames

They're currently mounted (and I don't have a scale) but I believe they're about 1200 grams per binding which makes them about half a pound heavier than Pivot 18's. Found the weight here:

Tyrolia adrenalin are 1400-1450gr/each, for sure. I remember I weighed them against Guardians in the shop and they were absolutely equal

Tyrolia site has them at 2740 w/ brakes, and 2440 is w/o.

I'd say Adrenalins are the way to go, they weigh ~300g less than the equivalent din (16) Guardian and 150g less than the guardian 13.

Oh who makes those

Why do you want frame bindings on awesome, new skis? What boots are you going to be touring up with?

I have atomic hawx 130s. I was mostly just considering frames for occasional hiking stuff and for If I decide to get more into touring

Normal Hawx boots, or ones with tech inserts & walk mode?

If your boots don't have tech inserts (and are just normal alpine boots), then you'll mainly be selecting from frame bindings...

I think daymakers tour better than the marker frame bindings that I used to have. Markers literally broke right off my ski when I was skiing and up until then I didn't think they skied as well as my regular alpine binders.

i actually forgot about daymakers, ill have to look into them

I have 2 pairs of marker baron 12 large bindings that weigh 2,480 grams with brakes that I’m trying to get rid of. I’m stoked to cop some shift bindings for next season! The barons got me into touring and I’ve had them a long time and actually bought an extra pair at a ski swap for if something broke, but it’s time to upgrade for me. PM me if you want some pictures or have any questions.

They also have the biggest footprint of any frame binding and completely kill the flex of a ski. haha
