Of course you aren't going to get a definite answerv right now. I am skeptical about the rationale in Loose Change or any of the other books I've read. Does seem a little far fetched to me. And I refuse to say this was just a Bush administration conspiracy (although I do believe he's involved). I don't sit there and take in everything they tell me. If I could give you a better and complete motive right now I would. But for now I'll just support my ideas that something else was at play on september 11th 2001, besides a few Saudis hijacking planes with 2 inch razor blades and crashing them into buildings.

I'm not the kind of person to throw things out the window, if I don't think they can be supported with sufficient scientific evidence.

 
Meh, I'm trying to have a somewhat organized debate, but yeah, there is some flaming going on unfortunately. I really dont think that the government was honestly behind the attacks or anything, but the story they give for what happened just doesnt fit with the facts. There re lots of inconsistencies that just havent been explained, and is it really that wrong to look for the truth? I think we dishonor those who died if the explanation for what happened that day doesnt make sense, yet is accepted without question. I would certianly want to know what exactly happened, and I think its important that we find out. However, as far as a conspiracy theory goes, this one is pretty weak. But it does look like someone is trying to hide something.

And it damn well matters if the government did kill people. Thats like saying that murderers should go unpunished because no matter what we do to them, it wont bring back the person they killed. I'd definently want justice to be served....
 
look at the way the airliner companies suffered in the attack. even one had to go out of business. now look at gas prices. sky rocketing up to 4 dollars in some places. foriegn policies are stricter. the list could go on. why would the US goverment do such an attack. it is good that some people investigate such things but i can't even say my opinion of terrorist doing it without getting called close minded. this is like saying the holocaust never happened. its a stupid theory. ok maybe physics denies the fact that the WTC collasped cause of the planes fuel or whatever bullshit, but come on, freak accidents happen. this is not like the bi-engine plane that flew into the empire state builidng back in the mid 1900's. this is a commerical jet.
 
not bad but i've got a different idea: osama doesn't exist at all...HE'S ALL CG! no, really guys. why else would "he" release audio tapes so much more often than video? obviously because with audio they just need a voice, and with video they have to do all the hard computer stuff that takes months. of course, only one company could be so skillfully diabolical with computer generated madmen...Pixar! yeah, you know it's true.

so what it boils down to is this: osama bin laden is the CG puppet of walt disney! no, not the company, the man! walt himself...he's alive and pulling the strings on all of the world.

if people will believe that the government brought down the towers for some reason, they'll sure as hell believe this.

i dont really mean that, i was making a point, he said i supported bush because i dont think it was the government (i dont), so he does think it was the government meaning he supports terroists by not believing it was them.
 
a few people have said "why would bin laden say that he did this?" well... why wouldn't he? many of the other terrorist factions in this world can and do take responsibility for attacks. look at the madrid bombings, al-qaeda said, "We declare our responsibility for what happened in Madrid exactly two-and-a-half years after the attacks on New York and Washington." the extremist muslims think they are doing themselves a favor by killing us americans, therefore osama bin laden would claim responsibility.

currently, the terrorists are winning. a terrorist victory is when we lose our freedoms and everything we stand for. this is slowly happening to us in the USA. currently the gov can eavesdrop on us without a fucking warrent(war against terror. they can check our library records (war against terror/patriot act). they can check our financial records (war on terror/patriot act).

now i'm not saying that bush blew up the towers, but its a possibility.

the war on terror was not meant to be won. it was meant to be continuous.
 
I'll be surprised if anyone in this thread knows why Osama Bin Laden created "Al Qaeda" and wants to bring down the US.
 
I am not quite sure but I know that he was part of a very wealthy Saudi Arabian Family that I think worked in construction, but i forget after that.

His fatherowned a construction company which was the basis of the familiy's riches. Basically, Osama Bin Laden had a great education and is indeed a very smart man. The US, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan funded Maktab al-Khadamat (an organization he started to fight off Soviets in Afghanistan.

I quote Robin Cook who was former leader of the British House of Commons and foreign secretary...

"Bin Laden was, though, a product of a monumental miscalculation by western security agencies. Throughout the 80s he was armed by the CIA and funded by the Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. Al-Qaida, literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians."

Gee, I wonder how we "know" so much about Al Qaeda.

Now here is where Bin Laden really discovered his hatred of the United States. During the Persian Gulf war, the US basically owned Saudi Arabia. We had a ton of bases in their country. Bin Laden (being a Saudi himself) offered Saudi Arabia his army to protect against any threat of invasion. The US basically shunned him and so did his former government. Due to Bin Laden being a devout Muslim, this shocked him. In his chapter of the Muslim faith, it was his "duty" to help protect the holiest of cities in the Middle East. Medina and Mecca. This is where it got bad. Osama was insulted and devastated by his sort of "excommunication" from the Saudi "army". Bin Laden saw this as a religious invasion. The US forces underminded militant leaders such as Bin Laden. This led Bin Laden to criticize and speak out against the new monarchy. So what does the Saudi government and US army do? They exile Bin Laden to Sudan. This is what waged his hatred on the US and his devout mission to destroy it. He then attacked Saudi-American army bases in Riyadh and somewhere else i forget. After this, Sudan expelled him to Afghanistan.

This is where Osama becomes mixed in with the Taliban. The taliban had justb eatn the Russians and taken control of Afghanistan. Osama helped fund them and provide them with weapons out of his construction business. Osama staged many attacks on UN countries well before September 11th.

That's kind of what I know about that. I am in no way justifying Bin Laden's attacks and didn't mean to make it seemed biased towards the US. I was just simply stating what his history was to my knowledge.
 
thank you, now everybody dont go saying "See the USA did fund Al Qaida and it is their fault." At the time in the 80's the USSR was the biggest threat and that is what was focused on.

I've tried to avoid this thread, and with good reason however:

1)Could someone tell me how someone could have possibly inconspicuously packed the necessary amount of high explosives to take down each tower without getting caught.

2) The loose change video points out the "explosions" occur below the point of each impact moments before the collapse. How does each jet conveniantly impact the buildings precisely above the point where each bulk of explosives is packed? Those jetliners were travelling closer to 700 kilometres per hour, the pilots were skilled/ lucky enough to even hit the buidlings dead on, much less target a specific point.

3) The video draws parallels between the collapse of the Twin Towers and highride demolition. For the record. Before high rise demolition even takes place, months of work takes place, stripping the building of support structure, crucial concrete columns, and placing of the high explosive in strategic areas in order to attain a proper fall. None of this was done on the world trade centre buildings explosives themselves on seperate floors could not take down the building.

4) a 767's wingspan is 156 feet across, the width of each tower was approximately 220 feet. The planes had recently taken off which means they were loaded with fuel. A plane rocketing toward a tower, light airframe or not, is going to penetrate steel and concrete all the way through. Liken it to a metal spike and a concrete block. its difficult to imagine yourself pushing the spike into the block, but shoot that spike out of a compressed air gun and its going in. However this spike is loaded with hundreds of tons of jetfuel, that this concrete block is semi hollow with hallways and offices, far from 100% solid. So its no surprise that the plane penetraed all the way through to the iron core. And the Jet Fuel Burning at thousands of degrees is more than enough to weaken the steel lattice core of the bulding, whichw as designed primarily for horizontal stablization against the wind more than weight support.

Unno, these whole conspiracy theories just piss me off. Some of the points raise question, but theres a logical explanation for everything without immediately assuming the presedent's administartion wished for an excuse to finish finish Bush Sr's grudges.

I really can't say anything... because there is too much in my mind to say about it thats its all jumbled up. Basically, fuck the U.S govt and all their games they play with the people. I will shoot a motherfuckin politician if I have to.
