Correct, National Amusements (the parent company of Viacom) owns Comedy Central. It should be noted also that News Corp has a number of holdings in numerous forms of media, including some very reputable news outlets such as ITV and The Wall Street Journal.

Does anyone else find that Fox News is not that bad? Many that say it have never actually watched the show and make the notion because  pretty much anyone that doesn't believe in the war says it.

So yeah, you admitted that Viacom owns Comedy Central...what does your original inaccurate statement have anything to do with it? Rupert Murdoch still has dick to do with that network. Viacom is not his company nor under his corporate umbrella.

And by the way...holding sock means ownership. When you purchase a share of stock you have just bought a portion of the company. What that may not mean is that you have any direct dealings with how the company is run.

...but this is not the case in this scenario. National Amusements is Sumner Redstone's holding company. And by the stagiest of coincidences Sumner Redstone also happens to be the Chairmen of Viacom's Board of Directors. How many more hairs would you like to split?

I clearly know what stock is, but I wasn't talking about the type of ownership that I personally have of google. I'm talking about the type of ownership you get from a management position or majority share holdings, which I simply didn't notice that he held.
