INVITE ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS!!!

Rail

jam event on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati. The event starts

at 6:00am and will be going on throughout the day. There will be free

Red Bull to be given away and it will just be an awesome spectacle.

Skiers and boarders will be shown on the JumboTron from various vantage

points while hitting the rails. There is too much to describe... it

will be a GREAT time!

UPDATE: The event has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 5...

hopefully this means that a lot more of you can make it!!! Please pray

for good weather!!!

UPDATE: I have been asked the same question

by A LOT of people. As Chris said below... this is a JAM STYLE event.

All you have to do is show up. There is no sign-up... no

pre-registration. EVERYONE is eligible. Just be there!

yea i agree with you ben but its only 3 truckloads and they probably have 20 worth stocked up

Helmets would definitely be a good idea... however, at this point they are not required... but use your best judgment and realize what you are doing here.

Here are the release waivers for the event...

General Release Waiver:http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=ddzz7wkd_1f2j9k2cd&hl=en

Release Waiver for Using the Red Bull Winch (for hitting the potential hip that may be in the event):http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=ddzz7wkd_0f397wgcs&hl=en

If you are under 18 and your parent/guardian will not be accompanying you to the event, you need to print these two waivers out and have them fill out the bottom portion and bring them to the event. Also, if you do not wish to fill these out AT the event, feel free to print them out, fill them out, and hand them in when you get there. If you do not want to do that, we will have copies of them at the event.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

We'll see you down there on Saturday!!!

^the winch is used to tow you in, so u have speed for the jump... and is this still on even with all the rain this week? i know it gonna be nice tommorow tho

this is already gonna be legit and if theres a kicker....wow i cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys,

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for attending the first (and DEFINITELY not last) Fountain Freestyle! I definitely had an amazingly great time down there today and I hope you all did too! For those of you who are wondering, I was the one with the green "I am a skier." t-shirt on with the UC hat and white oakley gascans (yea descriptive, I know haha). We had a few kinks in the plans like we had expected, but I think that we made the best out of what we were working with for the first year. I know everyone enjoyed the crowd that was down there especially after the Reds game!

One of the main problems with the event this year was the fact that no one knew how far 4 dump truck loads of snow would get us. For next year we are ordering AT LEAST 10 trucks... because we know that you were all itching for more variety/features. I am going to personally make sure that lining the rails with snow is a priority due to some damn near horrible accidents on the down-kink (you know who you are). Also, more snow for the landings is a must (for those of you who nearly got hit by cars, buses, etc... haha).

Tad's brain was churning the entire time down there and I know that he has a ton of ideas for next years event, and POSSIBLY a similar event this fall (you heard me).

Everyone that worked the event is officially exhausted, but we will try to get the pictures/video edits out as soon as humanly possible. I would definitely appreciate the others who took pictures/video to post up some links so everyone can check out just how awesome it was. I know all of the photographers were digging it because there really was not a bad angle to take a picture anywhere on the Square!

Well... I'd love to hear your feedback!!! Let us know how we did/how it went today!

definititly a sick event. only major problem was speed which i believe woulda been solved with more snow. maybe instead of jumoing off the top of the trailer the drop in ramp went all the way up the trailer it woulda been faster. still i had a great time and evan should have a small edit up sometime

sick sick event, i had so much fun, and everybody was crazy nice.

but anyway, i got interviewed for the news by the dude that was filming, if anyone knows what channel that was let a brother know.

It was FOX 19 News... so it will be on channel 19, tonight at 10pm. I hope you get this message in time! Thank you for remembering to mention to UC Ski Team in your interview, we greatly appreciate it!!!

thanks man, unfortunately i missed it. i can't find it on their website yet, maybe they haven't put it up. if you find the story online somewhere, let me know. great fucking job with the event, i had such a blast.

Hey guys... here are a few links to some facebook photo albums from the event... I just now realized that a website dedicated to this event is essential for this kind of stuff in the future. Now that the event is over, there are many different places where this event was advertised, but now photo and video sharing is becoming an issue :o

Well first off i think the event went very good.
And..
After a ten hour edit sesh Jibulant Productions edit is finally finished
I will post it up hopefully within the hour after we get it on youtube and send it to red bull

yeah it was just like 20 seconds of clips while some fat weather guy talked about the weather. i was stoked though cuz one of the clips was me. i cant find in on their site though

the actual only flaw was the rails being right next to the street so next time we need to move them away from the street, and no snow being aroud the rails wasnt that bad if there was a little snow there it wouldnt have been that much safer cuz the tile or whatever that suff was got really slick so it wasnt like you just stopped when you hit it you kept moving the same way as your body which is a good thing. also 10 dump trucks is a lot of snow to move around in that little amount of time

Here is the facebook group for Fountain Freestyle... PLEASE post up your pictures and/or videos on there so that everyone can see them!... http://http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=11078879887

...as for next year's event...

Ten dump truck loads is going to happen. We just need to get a few more people to help us setup which I'm sure will be easy considering how stoked people were about this year's event. Also, we will definitely give ourselves more time to setup next year simply because of how much bigger it is going to be. Red Bull actually had to go back down there today to truck away the snow because they realized it was going to take forever for the snow to melt. I can not wait until next year or fall's event! If you thought this year's event was legit... next year's will blow it out of the water!

...and yes we definitely need to account for safety a little bit more next year... as funny of a story as it would be, being hit by a bus while skiing downtown would not be a good thing!

i belive it is going to happen as long as that much snow is available at the end of the season. and as for the fall event that should be sick if tad gets to do what he wants well he should be able to as long as chip gives the ok and im sure he will
