Found a dead guy in forest

Yeah so thats about it, my friend and I were camping in the Beartooths and we found a dead guy that had been missing for like 2 weeks. A bunch of rocks had fallen off a cliff and crushed him, it was insane. So yeah god story huh.??http://www.billingsgazette.com/index.php?id=1&display=rednews/2005/08/26/build/state/60-mi thats the guy we found, it will probably be in the news in a couple days that we found him.

There weren't many bugs on him, just his eyes really, and we actually found his pack sitting in the grass a ways from the trail so we hiked up and looked. It was in a really gnarly spot so no predators had gotten at him

Body of missing Wyoming hiker found in Beartooth Mountains

The body of a missing hiker from Cody, Wyo., was recovered Monday from a deep ravine near Mystic Lake in the Beartooth Mountains, Stillwater County authorities said Tuesday.

Charles Thomson, 34, died from head and other injuries sustained in a fall into the rocky canyon, possibly while taking photos, said Undersheriff Danny Ames.

Searchers scoured the rugged countryside for 10 days after Thomson failed to check in with family on Aug. 21. Thomson had driven to the area to camp and take photos for two days. His car was found at the trailhead and still contained his camping equipment. The extensive search was called off on Aug. 31.

On Sunday, two Bozeman hikers looking for a campsite found Thomson's backpack three miles from the Mystic Lake trailhead in a boulder field, near a series of switchbacks that lead down to the lake.

The hikers brought the pack to the sheriff's office late Sunday. Thomson's family identified the backpack on Monday and searchers were dispatched.

The hikers led search and rescue members to where they had found the backpack. Thomson's body was located 200 feet below, in a ravine, Ames said.

Searchers Mark Polakoff and Mike Simpson rappelled into the ravine. A helicopter lifted Thomson's body out of the ravine.
