Forward Pressure?

I just picked up a pair of 181 armada pipe cleaners, with rossi scratch 140's alredy mounted at recomended, which is i think -5. it is mounted for a 326mm, and my boot is a 314mm. If i adjust it to a 314 would i have to change anything with the forward pressure?

are they the older pivots or the px's? either way pm me and i can tell you how to make sure the forward pressure is correct.

No, you should not have to adjust it. Forward pressure is just the amount of space between the boot and the binding. If you adjusted the binding to fit your boots, the pressure should be correct. To check it put the boot in the binding and look at the back of the heel piece. There is a triangle with lines on it. You want that triangle to line up somewhere on it to where it goes into the binding. So in other words half of the triangle should be showing.

by setting your binding for you bootsole, you set the forward pressure. it is not something separate that you adjust like a din.

There should be an indicator (two lines) somewhere along the side of the binding to tell you if you're within where it should be. If you're moving 12mm there's a chance you'll be out of that range.
