Forward mounted skis?

I found a thread that was 11 years old that advocated for them if you were park skiing. Is it even a thing anymore? Why would anyone even do it in the first place?

I did it because my tech mounted them +3 by accident. Do not do it. Don’t go to stoned techs

I had a pair of pow skis mounted +1 of true center on accident. They were symmetrical and surprisingly skied really well, but I would by no means recommend it. Skied them at -2 and they skied much better.

The only possible reason would be a pipe skier who's run was more switch than forward and they didn't ski anything but their pipe run on them. I have a vague recollection of it being rumoured that Dumont did it.

I recall him doing that for pipe at x games at one point? /oldschoolers

I mean even Eric Pollard doesn't do this, that I'm aware of, and he's the god of all things switch so it's probably not needed unless you're doing an entire pipe run switch.
