Forward mounted skis

whats up with these?

iv never seen them in person but ive seen pictures or people who have slightly forward mounted skis and you can deffintly tell

ive heard of a couple kids on here doing it, i guess shorter tips=easier truckers, longer tails=easier tail grabs, w/e im set with true center, i still want the ski to preform a little on the mt.

My friend who rides for atomic has his triplets overcentred by 2cm. Pretty cool, just make switch riding, taking off and landing so much easier.

if you think about it, people mount behind center for better all mountain and just riding performance.

sooo, if you flip the ski around, for someone who rides like evvverywhere switch, theyll in sense get better turning and performance, yet only while riding switch. thats my idea.

maybe you could land better switch in pow.... but if you are skiing it wouldn't you want at least center if not back mounted for easier skiing?

i think foward mounting is stupid. i have center mounted thalls and there great switch and foward. remember, its 20% skis, 80% skill

my skis are like +2 from center. only because i got them center mounted and didnt feel like remounting so i just pushed the heel up. its not really very different than center

yep, I do. Like an hour ago I dropped my new Fischers off at the shop. I got them at 2 inches foward from dead center, and I love it.

my skis are about 2cm forward but only because the shop fucked up mounting my bingings. i got used to them after a while, they are alot different riding, but also soooo much easier switch, and spinning isnt really any differnt

my friends bindings are forward mounted because the people at the ski shop fucked up when he asked them to center mount his skis,

Not just olson, Simon Dumont says he designed his pro models so he could mount them forward of center. I am not sure I like my center mounts, but whatever might try one day.
