this sounds retarded but i was playing dna spin and i pushed 3 bars to the right on the bottem and 3 up three times so i pushed right 3 bars and up 3 bars and when you do the trick with a knee bend (c) or a phill grab (zx) it looks like a forward flatspin...i know i got to much time on my hands but im wondering if such a trick exists and is done??

listen up! A foreward flatspin is callled an orbital. Its kind of one of my signature tricks because I can stick it off of cliffs and cornaces like every time. The thing is, you cant get as 'flat' as you do on regular flatspins because you cant work with the backwards angle of the lip of the jump. But it is a trick and it is called an orbital

Watch Shane Scozc's section in '13' eventhough they're pretty much front flips he does them on that hipped quarter pipe...the same one McDonnell dislocated his shoulder on. I'd still call it a gay front flip, but it could arguably be a forward spinning flat 5.

it's funny this should be posted cause just the other day I tried throwing flats to the front and thought it felt right fucked.

Hey, I dreamed up this other trick. i don't know if I can explain it well but here we go. :

pop off like you're throwing a rodeo, we'll say you're throwing to the right (clockwise), just to designate it. Now, when you get inverted and your legs are up over your kead you would normally keep rotating in the direction you set, if you throw your arms back at the direction you came then you feel like you stop spinning and even though your body still comes around for the rodeo rotation, your body spins the other way.

SO, in the end, it's like a rodeo, 180 in the direction you set and 540 the other way.

When I'm in the air it feels like I'm doing a slow 180 backflip, then I throw it the opposite direction 540 to land forwards again.

I hope one of those ways made sense, what the heck is that anyways?

I dunno.. it kinda sounds like that trick somewhere in the vid that this guy did... it was almost a corked backflip or something, im not sure what it was decided upon. It sounds like you just add spin to that... check the video and see if its like that.

all flatspins are actually forwards if you think about it (as in your head goes downhill of your feet at some point). the only variation is if you do it on your back or stomache.
