i think there are a few things we would like to see changed. post your suggestions here and hopefully nopoles will check them out and give them some consideration.

 
i would like to see the quote feature redone if possible. maybe a 'quote' option where you can actually quote the ENTIRE thing, and a 'quote selected' option where you can select what you want to quote.

also, when you click on an image to make it larger and view it, it is wayyy to big. we could use some scroll bars.

 
Quoting the entire post is a bit of a gong show right now... It won't work because signatures are actually made part of a post when it's submited.

Meaning if the entire post would get quoted then it would include the signature. I tried this and it looks retarded.

The reason the signatures were made part of the post is partially due to laziness. Since members wanted signatures to stay static on a post (meaning if the sig changes the sig in old posts doesn't) I decided to just attach the signature to the post like the old forum used to. This however made quoting an entire post basically undesirable.

What I would like to do is have past signatures saved and not made part of forum posts, but rather appended to forum posts on display. This would make quoting entire comments reasonable.

Even then... quoting entire comments can be very space consuming.

Does anybody have suggestiosn for how to improve quoting? I think it's a good feature and it seems to be well used, but it is a big ghetto, I will admit.

what if you had a box that displayed the original message and you could just delete what you didn't want quoted

i donyt have a problem with it at all , maybe if people were just more specific in their replies as to what they wanted to quote there would be no problem, its a reely cool feature that shood deffinately stay, i use it lots

a higlight option, where you choose from what was originally posted what you want quoted by highlighting it and then that is attached at the top of your post? like you highlight, then press quote, and thats what is quoted...

the ability to "highlight" would lead to problems, because if you have the opportunity to write in text, people would write in shit that they never said and it would be wrong. i think that the quote ability should have a"link" button and it will automatically shoot you up to where the original post was made so you can read it.

i mean, go into the post, highlight what you want quoted and then press quote, and what you highlighted from the post is what is quoted...
