In order to ensure that this board is as helpful and

Have materials that wish to slander or hurt

Newschoolers.com or their associates

Contains spam, which only intention is too further one’s

post count

Contains information about deal-a-day websites. It is

not your responsibility to pass on a good deal, as these threads only clog up

the forums.

Contains any personal information of others which can

violate privacy issues

Contains links to a site promotes the illegal downloads

of ski industry material

Contains items which are trying to be "flipped". If you wish to make a profit, do so somewhere else please



Is deemed by us to be unsuitable

for any reason whatsoever.

If we decide that a post is unacceptable, we will remove

the post. Depending on the severity of

the post or the past

history of the user who made the post, we may drop a ban on your

ass.
 
Hah no we're not even safe... I've had my own posts deleted before! We keep each other in check too.

You guys asked for the official rules, and we gave 'em to you! Don't worry its not like its extra strict around here all of a sudden. These are the same rules that we have gone by for the last 3 years, we just never wrote them down for you.

well if its been this way for 3 years and isnt going to change than im not to concerned but its good you got the rules written down somewhere
 
well it's definitly nice to have formal stuff posted up, and i was gonna say NS will be a lot less fun, but seeing as doug said that these rules have been utilized for 3 years now, i don't have a problem with it.
 
Think of it like Holland (or Amsterdam). Apparently if you actually read the legal code there, drugs are in fact still illegal.

However, as a society they decided that it was a waste of time and money to enforce these laws so they all decided to ignore it. Politicians, police officers, etc... they put their time and money into fighting real crime like murders and shit not busting people carrying a joint.

Rules need to be there so people know the guidelines. But as well, rule keepers need to have a level head when enforcing them. If we all stop being morons together, then this site could get a whole lot less moronic in a hurry. ;)

 
We arent going to enforce every one of these 100% but when shit does get out of hand, people know why.

Use your head.

If your out to make a point and trying to get banned, we have no problem finalizing that wish.
 
Just to add one of those "borderline rules"... the point of moderation is largely to keep the forums free of clutter and as orderly as possible. Especially on a site like this, creating order from chaos isn't altogether easy. So duplicate threads on the same topic can be considered spam. We don't need five threads on Simon Dumont and whether his new spin is cool, keep it in the original thread. No offense, guys, but your opinion on any particular issue isn't SO important that it deserves its own thread.
 
Are we allowed to call a kid an asshole if they make an asshole post? Because this is like direct hate or whatevre but wut if its warented??

So the way I see it, you won't be deleting any more stuff than you have been in the past, you just thew down the list so you can link people to it when they ask why their post was deleted........

Right?
